Hi, Susan! I love your video! (so much that I did subscribe ) :-) I have been experimenting with making the flowers lately, having not much luck in the "rose" department, but I am definitely going to try your way. You explained it very well, and I do have the punch! Your flowers are beautiful!! Thanks so very much for sharing your technique.
@robinweidenbach Hi Robin! I'm so glad that you found this video helpful! Over time, I'm sure you'll master making them. Show me pics....thanks for watching and have fun! Suz
Thankyou so much Susan, your tutorial is super helpful! I've start making some flowers and they turn out awesome!! Thanks to you :) Please keep making great video!
Hi Susan very helpful info. I wanted to know the cardstock that you got from staples is it a certain weight (lb)? Would you know if I can use another different paint in case I can't find the one you used? tfs Mimi :O)
@MimiChula003 Hello Mimi! How's everything? The paper weight from STaples is 110LBS. Nice for flowers or cards. Yes, you can use any paint that you like but I like the gold color. In fact, you can buy empty bottle daubers and a large bottle of gold irradesent paint and fill them up and use that. It's totally up to you, it will be your flower. Let me know how you make out. Hope all is well. Suz
Thanks for making this suzie. You did a great job and the flowers are gorgeous. I just wish I had seen this BEFORE I went to michaels the other day as I only get there once in a blue moon when i have someone to take me. I have tons of paint but I wanna try that paint you use for the shimmery effect. I'll just have to try and remember for next time lol.
I don't know how in the world I missed this video. But I'm finally watching it. Awesome tutorial and thanks for the tips and recommendations of products!! Lol at your cell phone! heehee. That happened to me yesterday. It blasted Rihanna in the middle of my video! That rose is gorgeous and does look like the brass roses. Very lovely! Your fabulous at tutorials!
Great tutorial ! I certainly agree that making your own roses is a great money saver and able to match the project your working on. I have tried that medium, and I love it!
I also put it in a spray bottle with a little ink and it works great. I have to try the larger roses, they are beautiful!
great tutorial!! So funny with your phone!! lol!! Why do our cell phones go off when we don't want them to?? Gotta try and find this irridescent medium!! Thanks so much!!
Thank you so much for sharing your flower making techniques with us. I use the Iridescent Medium as well. I love mixing it with different colors of acrylic paints. Great first tutorial. Keep them coming!! If they're too long do a part one and two!

Does it have to be the same shape flower and does it have to be a five petal flower?
