Nice video. Lincoln looks like a nice town. However, this video was shot entirely during a sunny day in June or July. What is this place like during the winter? Its probably like the North Pole. I spent a winter down (as its many hundreds of miles to the south) in Enid, Oklahoma. One of the people that worked there said that Enid was like Hawaii when compared to a winter in North Dakota.

I drove through the Omaha/Lincoln area a couple of years ago and it seemed like a cool place. At the bar in the hotel I stayed at these girls I was talking to kept asking me how L.A. was? ( Where Im from) I seriously think if I had invited them to come along with me back home they probaly wouldve done it. They seemed to hate it there so much.

I visited Lincoln about ten years ago and I really liked it and may consider returning in the near future. One thing they really need to do there is drastically lower the property taxes- they are UNBELIEVABLY OUTRAGEOUS for the income level in Lincoln!!!!!!!

But it is still a neat city IMO. Burden's Surplus Center is way cool- that is one must-see. And go NL!

I lived in lincoln growing up from '58-'72... growth is what cancer is good for. I agree with Edward Abbey who wrote "The Monkey Wrench Gang"...growth for growth's sake is cancer. My friends and I had to leave Lincoln back then because there were no jobs...and the climate...shite!...but I still have fond memories of the small city.

I agree, growth is vital to a create successful economy . People in Lincoln aren't very open to the idea of growth. I don't think Lincoln will ever be it's own city due to this, it will always be Omaha's little brother.
