@Cwalkaa: That's great, but you must realize that one cannot find his/her life solely in a book alone. Everyone has a different experience on living, so naturally that word you speak of will be interpreted. If its interpreted from its original meaning you get different denomination's of those text's, which will lead to arguments and confrontation's. Substantial proof comes from the Roman Catholic branch, and the Eastern Orthodox church.

Truth comes from your belief's and from within.

The material that Constantine ordered to be taken out of the bible and hidden from the people is where the stuff of real worth lays, in my opinion. Example: The Dead Sea Scrolls.

The bible in its current form has been distorted considerably.

the dead sea scrolls where never removed, they were hidden and only recently found. but i do agree the true meaning of the bible has been lost through translation and editing.

Exactly, but who were they hidden by? The powers that be, right? They didn't want us to have access to the important, relevant, empowering information. Instead, they wanted to use the bible as a tool for control and manipulation, and anything empowering like The Dead Sea Scrolls didn't go along with that agenda, so they hid them.

think about it Reece, if they didnt want people reading them they would have been destroyed like many other important Hebrew and Aramaic  documents. if anything they were hidden by those who wanted them to be preserved.

but yea dude i get where you are coming from, being an atheist means i reject the notion of a personal god. but that doesn't mean im not spiritual, Buddhists are atheists you know :)

Yes, this is one possibility. However, I believe there is another possibility. I don't know if you've heard of the theory that the 'powers that be' have oppressed us in the way they have because they know that this is the only true way to wake us up as a species? As in, we need the friction, we need the incessant prodding to 'get us out of bed' in the morning. Do you see what I mean? That's obviously a very simplified way of putting it, but that's the basic gist of the theory.

So anyway, if this is indeed the case then maybe these kinds of things are hidden as a sort of test. The information is hidden in the context that when we're ready, the information will be found. As in, if we want something bad enough, we've got to go looking for it, it cannot be spoon fed to us. After all, nothing is truly learnt in this way.

Hey, I appreciate that this is a pretty fringe theory, but let's be honest, whenever we talk about a topic of this nature, it's ALL speculation. So, that's just my possible take on things.

And yes, I also dont believe in a personal God. I believe in Source. But that's another discussion for another time :)

Actually if I'm not mistaken, the dead sea scrolls had a lot to do with Gnostic Christianity. And when Constantine came into power, he and the Roman's burned most of the other text's and took out some of the book's of the bible. They did this because they believed Gnosticism wasn't apart of "Mainstream" Christianity.

So in order to protect their belief's the remaining Gnostic hid their texts to avoid persecution by the Roman Christian's.

That's why. Direct upload is notoriously unreliable. Record the video as a stand alone file and upload that instead.

Be patient when it comes to lucid dreaming. I've been doing it myself, and it took a while before I became lucid for the first time. But believe me, it's worth the wait. Just keep on doing reality checks and looking for those dream signs! You'll get there in time. :)
