These are the least frightening images from 'Triumph des Willen". Hitler only shown waving from behind and with the admiring female citizens. The other 95% of the film is military demonstrations and fierce speeches. Are we to consider Hitler in a softer light here? In an attractive 3 minute format, perfect for contemporary, web-era intellect. New propaganda? Very post-modern.
@JGrayArt There are no militarys seen in TOTW. the film about the wehrmacht is "Tag der Freiheit" (also from Leni Riefenstahl) and was produced one year later.
Triumph of the Will actually seems to compliment the song, but I don't know how I feel about associating NIN with TOTW and Hitler just for the sake of a chilling video
