I love This show because:

1) George is awesome

2) George's interview style is so that each guest, whether it be a politician or a movie star, feels at ease and through that, George, and us at home or in the audience learn more. It's awesome.

I'm not a fan, but the guy does interview some very interesting & smart people from time to time. However, in yesterday's show, he interviewed the guy responsible for polishing NATO's image, and what the guy said on the show was that NATO meetings are usually a big bazaar (literally) where each member countries twist each other's arms. I don't think the guy helped polishing NATO's image a lot. That guy should definitely be fired, he's doing the total complete opposite of his job.

due to the nhl playoffs, the hour is playing a combo of old interviews; the james appthurai interview is one of them. the reason the hour is a successful news show is precisely because george brings out the news that we don't see in generic news reports. so appathurai's job is to be the "Face of NATO" (not to "polish the image"); he's being honest, and he noted that all the negotiations that go on behind closed doors is always in the best interest of the Afghan people (the topic in question).
