  • I fucking hate Ewoks

  • giant enemy star destroyer, attack its weak point for massive damage.

  • pretty weird that when only the bridge of the command ship get's hit, the whole thing losts controll... BUT STILL BEST MOVIE EVER

  • Thumbs up if you ever imagined being in this battle yourself.

  • @2:01 favourite moment

  • It's a trap!

  • @cobeoe It was destroyed right at the core after lando shot it

  • Could the volume be any lower?

  • where's the second tie interceptor while they were escaping the core?

  • @cobeoe pause at 6:47 look just to the right of the tie interceptor. The location of the second tie interceptor has been highlighted with a small explosion for your convenience. =P

  • @LostHisMarbles i never knew what happened to it thanks

  • there's damage on top left fin of a-wing pause at 6:03

  • North tower? How... I dont even... what?

  • @riselin Maybe it's named after Peter North the ... film star.

  • @vandurkan we're both talking about the 6:30 mark, right?

  • IT’S A TRAP!!!

  • the best space battle of all starwars !

  • omg i wanted to be a pilot there

  • My grandpa also fought in the Battle of Endor ... R.I.P

  • The A-wing pilot that got shot down at 2:39 is a woman whose voice was dubbed over by a man. X_X

  • I love how Lando knows what the alien dude is saying

  • 5:58 INTENSIFYFORWARDFIREPOWAH!

  • 5:50 to 6:20 was the empires 9-11

  • 3:24 Nooo! The Liberty!! :'(

  • (0:49) "No wait! i said on my mark!....you're just ignoring me because i'm a fish, right?"

  • 8:11 The Jedi Temple still stands... you'd think that the Empire would have dismantled it.

  • And once again, tens of thousands of Imperials die clinging to each other in fear as their station collapses around them. Consider the vast number of people, the access to ships and bays throughout the Death Star, and the time and chaos aboard, chances are many of the people tried to get off the station. Yet we see no prisoners of war during the celebration on Endor. The horrifying conclusion is that the Rebel fleet targeted and destroyed craft carrying those fleeing a doomed station.

  • @cerickNY Wait, would you take prisoners of war to the celebration? Personally, I'd stick them in the brigs of the many starships currently in orbit.

  • @andymac4883 If not for the fact that those handful of ships just faced a major engagement with a fleet well over 5 times their size. When nautical ships fight engagements with groups closer to their number, it was a pretty good bet that they needed some time at port for repairs before they were sea worthy. Considering that these are not only machines of war but also life support units against the vacuum of space, I don't think any more people than necessary are aboard during repairs.

  • Why is the music higher?

  • Possibly the most epic dogfight scene in cinema history

  • asian guy wooot!

  • 2:00 Admiral Ackbar gets Inmortal

  • 5 more years and i'll be seeing this in 3D

  • Just realized...partying in Coruscant would gotta be one fucking hell of a night

  • All craft, prepare to jump into hyperspace on my mark...

And just after that, without the order being given, Lando jumps into hyperspace.

  • "i used to be the biggest, baddest star destroyer around, then i took an a-wing to the bridge."

  • Intensify forwah fiya powah!

  • Is this 1983 or 97?

  • @wylon87 2004. That's Naboo at 7:53, which wasn't first seen until the Phantom Menace which came out in 99

  • @Critical1ce Ok, it just said 1983 in the thing above and I thought this was the original.

  • @wylon87 Yeah that is a bit confusing. Great battle though

  • @Critical1ce Agreed!

  • Not the best editing of scenes, but better than nothing.

  • Awesome quality mate! REALLY hope this one doesn't get removed!

  • 2:10 Hey look, there's the only Chinese man in the galaxy.

  • 5:32 "There goes the Direct TV... Han is gonna kill me."

  • @TheUnholyHandGrenade You just made my day! xD

  • Apparently at the time of this battle (well actually before too) that droid assassin IG-88 transfred itself into the death star became the death star therefore it had full control over it. When the death star fired that was IG-88 firing so he/it didn't blow his cover.

Apparently the droid has a sence of humor as it slamed a door shut on the emperor making him fall over.

    The droid

  • 7:50 - "WEE'SA FREE!"

    Jar Jar?

  • 2:00 It's a TRAP!

  • 8:11 Jedi temple? Has it been destroyed?

  • 2:00

  • The guy in the A-wing that crashed into the super star destroyer "Executor" crippling the empires fleet name is Arvel Crynyd, aka Green Leader.

  • As a 8 year old I always drooled at this! xD

Not much has changed and I'm 22 LOL!

  • What makes me laugh is that Lucas had access to a bigger budget and better special effects and he was unable to match any of the space battle sequences in the original films in those dreadful prequels.

  • @ChibiSmasher it makes perfect sense. The A-wing destroyed the command bridge, therefore the autopilot could no longer manage the Star Destroyer's thrust output to counteract the Death Star's gravitational pull, which is why they collided. What do you think would happen if the entire cockpit of a C-5 Galaxy stopped working? It doesn't even have to be the cockpit. One tiny loose screw can bring down an entire plane. It's not in the future, and it's not a boat.

  • my favorite line in all of the star wars sagas at 2:00

  • Forget the naysayers - this is a great cut of the space battle, and one of my favorites of all time. Thanks for posting it!

  • I like the color in this one I gotta admit

  • Gee, I guess weapons similar ballistic and cruise missiles don't exist in space warships in that universe O.O

  • 2:09 - the only Asian guy on the OT.

  • 1:56 - the dude at the background is robot dancing.

  • 3:49 - Lando goes back to being the only black man in the galaxy

  • @dangazt Don't forget about Lord Vader. ;-)

  • @vandurkan He was an Oreo. :)

  • @vandurkan Darth Vader is white

  • @Sevv9220

guy physically playing him yes, but the one doing voice is black

  • @Sevv9220 Sure, I was kidding.

  • @vandurkan the actor was black, vader himself wasn't

  • @k4n31985 His voice actor, yes, I know. It was just a joke to call Vader a black person.

  • @dangazt what about blowin up eddy murphy at 3:50?^^

  • 1:56 What's that music called? I want to listen to it

  • Battle of Endor Part I

  • @BestStargateFan

    Thanks!

  • 5:43----Star destroyer destroy!!!!

  • 1:57 the one on the left is doing the robot dance

  • A fighter hitting a ship several kilometers long. Yea the starship should totally lose control and blow up. THis doesnt make sense.

One would thought, thousands of years in the future. All ship systems will have redundancies for any emergency, as in any modern naval ships.

  • @ChibiSmasher they have second bridges on the ships......but star destoyers arnt built for close quarter fighting they are basicaly gun batarys

  • "Wonder what those Star Destroyers are waiting for?"

They're waiting for someone in the Empire to learn how to fly the damn things.

  • "better quality" video isnt even in hd

  • @TheRabbitFear ... and not in 3D either, you're right. Only better than any version I found on YouTube that time. ;-)

  • @vandurkan ignore the haters. keep doing what you are doing.

  • @TheRabbitFear haha....owned

  • no not really

  • i can explain your tantrums:WHY the rebel fleet won the star destroyers????????

there in a star wars book where it says that the rebels where equipped with RAY SHIELDS, shields that can ONLY be bypassed by superlaser, like the death star or the eclipse

  • @tyrannicusx

lol you're just talking out your ass

  • @Qwepir i wasn't talking about you i was talking about some forums and videos, i have just the same comment on different videos and sites

  • the rebels went through so much trouble to destroy the death star....all i did was press 8 wen watching this video... :)

  • If it weren't for the fraking Ewoks this could have easily been one of the greatest battles in movie history. As it is, the space sequence is the highlight of the series in that regard, even better than the battle in Revenge of the Sith.

  • This is one the best movies of all time. Consider, how the special effects were made 30 years ago. The many months of stop motion photography that had to be made for only a few minutes of film wasn't easy. The people who made these movies deserve a lot of credit. I can only say this to those who make the negative comments of such excellent film making. If you think you can do better, then go out and take $100,000,000,000 and make your own God Damn Movie!

  • @TheRudy1925 But they gotta do it with stuff that was only available in the late 70's/early 80's!

  • 6:01: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH IM CONSTIPATED!

  • Incredible visual effects, score, and battle! This is my favorite space battle out of any Star Wars movie.

  • 7:24 - the awkward moment when you realize you just murdered 30,000 people

  • For the Empire!

  • 0:10 to 0:16 is my favorite

  • 2:04 "Fighters coming in!" That moment still gives me goose bumps after all these years :)

  • A moment of silence as we remember our beloved Emperor Palpatine of Naboo...The first Deathstar was the result of gross negligence on the part of the Grand Moff, the Second time was just a fluke...The Empire will return! On that day, we shall teach these rebel scum what it means to cross the Empire!

  • Really bad special effects at 6:14.

A standard "rolling fireball" Hollywood car-crash explosion for a ship that's supposed to be thousands of meters long?

  • @TonyA6453 Yes, maybe a little simple, but I still like the look. The timing is very nice.

But I was always hoping, that Lucas would advance the first flight through the cluster of TIE-Fighters at 2.06. Groups of 6-8 Fighters are popping up, before they come closer.

  • @vandurkan yeah, I saw that too.

  • @vandurkan George Lucas didn't direct episode 6, he co-directed it.

  • @TonyA6453 Also the release of Compressed oxygen mixed with fuel and other combustables would instantly ignite and turn into said fire ball in space, although there is no oxygen and fire is obviously fuel by xygen, the split second the ship decompresses it will do exactly what Lucas has pictured, although his version is somewhat over dramatized it WILL infact do that. however the fire ball will quickly disperse in the oxygenless void of space

  • @dartheric All that, and also consider wtf a ship the size of the Executor used as a main reactor, gun batteries, TIE Fighter power cells etc that would also detonate once the ship's reac- ok, I'm over analysing this. :P

  • @TonyA6453 What the fuck do you expect from a movie made in 1983?

  • @TonyA6453 got to remember this movie is old... can you imagine what a better version would look like.... IT HAS TO BE DONE :P

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO,THE EXECUTOR, I LOVED THAT SHIP!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @santrow1 *lol*

  • @santrow1 *lol* :-) Obviously you chose the dark side.

  • @vandurkan Lol, obviously the Zann Consortium is better.

  • Seriously, could Wedge be any more badass?

  • @brandondash he's survived three whole starwars movies, thats an automatic qualification for badassery

  • @brandondash I will never forget that he left Luke in the Battle of Yavin. Even with a crippled X-Wing he could have at least taken a shot or two to protect him, heck, he could have slammed on the brakes and crashed into Darth Vader!

  • @HurricaneHugo619 Wedge had already saved Luke's life in that battle though!

  • Also it would have been much more interesting if Death star would have tried to turn it's firepower to Endor itself like in the book..I think if return of the jedi would have been exactly like in the book it would have been much better..

  • Great epic scene but I hardly think the empire could collapse THAT fast!

  • @TheShadowwolf88 Yes, in Episode 2 and 3 the empire became so gigantic, that the endor battle almost appears tiny.

  • @vandurkan it's ok. The empire didn't collapse. It took years after for the New Republic to take Corusant. It's in the book. But this battle was significant because of the death of Vader and the Emperor. It began the internal degredation of the Empire that allowed the rebellion to win in the end.

  • @vandurkan yeah but the Empire loses half or their fleet, their leading ship, their ultimate weapon, their Emperor, Darth Vader, their admiral and hundred of thousand of men, including lots of leaders. It's pretty tough for a military force.

  • @iwrestledamaxonce The Empire of that size must have had hundreds if not thousands of admirals!

That´s why I like the expanded universe!

  • @iwrestledamaxonce That and having a four way civil war breakout on Coruscant didn't help ether.

  • @TheShadowwolf88 it didnt. if you read the expanded universe novels, the empire struggles on for another 10 years or so until it is completely wiped out

  • @RadicalMassacre I know that!

  • @RadicalMassacre True!

  • @TheShadowwolf88 They don't. In the Expanded Universe they carry on for years as the Imperial Remnant

  • @LithiumZ2 I know but some people say the as the movies end so should the saga as total...not me offcourse!

  • @LithiumZ2 I was just commenting on the lack off logic in a star Empire off that size collapsing that easily!

As you said there where remnants or the Empire that lingered on for years that eventually was reformed into the ("Paleon dynasty) Empire that made peace with the Galactic Alliance!

  • @TheShadowwolf88

the empire didn't go down all at once from this, but they lost their emperor, their superweapon, a buttload of troops, and the gajillions of credits it took to build 3/4 of a 900 kilometer space station.

    ...

    OOPS.

  • @MrPier101 True but those numbers(resources was still high though) must be almost insignificant(except for losing the emperor)! Think galactic terms in numbers millions would be too small probably at least a billion maybe more in logical point of view!

  • @TheShadowwolf88 After the ROTJ and the death of Darth Vader and Palpatine, badass Grand Admiral Thrawn took over and made life very difficult for the rebellion.

  • @brainwavezzz The only thing that "ended" at Endor was the rebellion the first alliance was reorganized into the new republic!

  • AGAIN!!!! 0:00

  • I think for the scene at 6:03, they just crashed a car onto the set.

  • Good battle but there was hardly any Rebel cruiser vs star destroyer battles and I didn't like how easilly Super Star destroyer was taken out. There wasn't any indication how dangerous it was..

  • @dualis777

Yes - this doesn't hold a light sabre to the Yavin battle or, indeed, the Hoth battle which had genuine casualties and danger.

  • That "we're not going to attack?" Is the best acting ever.

  • epic! don't know any other movie with a more epic space battle!

  • The best scene ever.

  • 6:04 what the fu........ BOOM!!! lol

  • its got to be i meen its got no upper section ???

  • WAIT A MINUTE AT 3:46 is that star destoyer upside down ???? as it looks like it is from what i can tell ????

  • @skycaprob I felt the same, but play that scene starting at 3:46 ... I paused at the last frame before the camera switched to the guy in the cockpit. Last few frames of that star Destroyer scene, there is a shadow towards the right. I think the camera simply was in front of the ...base of the top deck? I think, anyway.

  • @skycaprob Urm no it's just really big.

  • I wonder if Han ever stomped Lando's butt after getting the dish knocked off the Falcon after he promised not to get a scratch on it

  • 3:27 come on dude, you left out "that thing's operational!" and then akbar's awesome freakout that I like to impersonate... yes, I'm a nerd

  • @lockandload82 ... and I confess. :-)

  • @ 1:20 "Yeah, UhUhUH!"

  • I love how the version that's been up for 4 years on YT, 4 years, is now being blocked because FOX has a copyright issue. Really?

  • You had to do the crappy "George Lucas screws the fans over" version, didn't you...

  • IT'S A TRAP!!!!

  • @madnessinthedirt it sounded to me like "its a crap" :D

  • @justtenchyy HAHAHAHAH that just made my day.

  • Comment removed

  • Best Part 0:00 - 8:29

  • @awesomejoe12 I agree!

  • Excellent quality

Except when everyone starts cheering on planets that wouldn't have heard of cared about the event.

  • @Poojawamanthing ...I thought I was the only person who thought about that! How did they know the death star was blown up? Wasn't the attack a secret? Was it's destruction on the news?

THIS IS AN OUSTANDING EDIT. YOU NEED TO EDIT THE NEXT SCI-FI movies ever created!

  • nice quality! thanks~
