  • hey i have a pair of peavey subs, the pv118's to be exact and i was just wondering if this sub would run good with them??....

  • @sinner24 anything BUT a peavy! lol

  • wait so u mean it literaly or u just dont like peavy speakers?

  • @sinner24 exactly!

  • Hello mark i was watch your video and what should i say! you need more than one amplifiers and other this check the power set on generator so you would now if the power set right on the generator and also it the generator is don't mass with it at all brig you back generator becouse you will now you power generator is in good shape

  • I got my GX5 for $335.00, for the price its really good quality, the sound quality is clean and clear!

  • I payed $335.00 for the same one, for the price its really good

    the sound quality is clean!

  • A furman power conditioner might have saved that amp, I run 2 furmans for my sound and highly recommend them

  • bla i know, i have one in my normal dj rack.......but this time i had to just plub the amp and a mixer into this generator....

  • Was it an Invereter Gen. or just a Gen

yon should only run electronics through an Inverter Gen...

    mm

  • it said inverter 2000 w.....high power generators are not inverters though? the generator was kinda old too....not one you could buy today. i had the volume levels in the middle and power switch on when i plugged it in....but ive never had a problem doing that with normal power. i figured the less i have to fool with the knobs in the front the better.

  • Be safe get a honda or a yamaha one 3000 w

  • bad, very bad,,,NEVER RUN your amp on a generator,,, they will pop somthing or melt a solder joint or somthing,,,,,sorry you had to do that

  • I'm a real man, I don't need instructions, lol!

  • Great Amp! I have 2! And if you bridge it mono for subs... HOLY SHIZZZ!!!! You'll have more than enough power for some thump! Great Purchase!

  • which one? you can't bridge the gx5 ?????

  • Oops... Ment to say I've run all 4 of my subs on it in parallel which drops it to a 4 Ohms Load and you'll get 850 watts or something like that. Sorry, my head sometimes thinks faster than I type, and that equals wrong info. lol

  • it has this low pass filter switch, where you can use channel 1 for a sub and channel 2 for a full range speaker. not sure if i would ever use it that way....i think all amps should have a bridge mode,,, to harness the full power of the amp when needed, but oh well.

  • Yeah I've never run any amp that way before. To it's like mixing diesel gas and regular unleaded into the same damn car. lol. But, that's a very good solid amp.

  • the only way i could think of is at a big night club, where you have one sub and one main,,,and you 'd want the amp near by so your not running heavey speaker wire all over....it's cheaper to run signal wires and more efficient to have the amp closer to the speakers...but thats only for permanent setups. or if you want a sub and a main and dont need stereo sound, like if you just want a full PA only sound with a sub...or if u have 2 amps 1 on each side, then a main and sub on each amp

  • oh I almost forgot on monday they had a $50 coupon on line if you purchased anything above 300 so the $50 rebate from qsc and the $50 off from guitar center it ended up in 311 i think with tax and everything

  • yeah i paid 399....yada yada...prodigy music in toledo overcharges a bit for stuff...but they take care of me when i need it...they repair stuff in house....and sometimes he has good deals on stuff

  • the rebate is not for the GX line

  • oh nice choice with the gx5 but guitar center sold it for 350 lol

  • just be sure to register online for the 6 year warranty!

  • oooohhhh yeeeaaahh !

  • I was looking for an amp this weekend and the guy at guitar center basically told me not to get the macke 2400 i think cuz mackie was having alot of issues with thier equipment sorry to hear about your amp

  • send it in. i have no amp advice

  • Comment removed

  • the mackie authorized repair place wanted $68.50 a hour to work on it. and probably said it would be a 2 hour min, and couldn't get to it for 3 weeks. but my local sound shop is looking at it for free.

  • o. that is a dam good deal

  • Hi Mark,

What type of plug did you use to connect it to the generator?

Did you turn it on with dials at zero, and slowly increase them?

  • -----------------

How Come the amp case has twist turn catches at the back, and a butterfly catch at the front?

  • Comment removed

  • cuz the back is just a thin plastic cover,,, all skb cases are like that. ive never plugged the amp into a generator b4.,..i usually always leave the volume knobs in the middle,,, i normally never have to touch them and i was in a hurry...so oh well
