A nice gesture, but a terrible cover of a legendary tune. Almost sacrilege. It might just pass as a novelty comedy song. I despise coldplay and their ilk. I understand it as a gesture of solidarity and support for MCA, but it's hard to imagine this tool ever listened to or appreciated the B Boys, considering the drivel that he produces in the name of music.

It's just an opinion, before anyone issues me with a death threat for dumping on their favourite band.

Not gonna kill you hear, but your opinion is just bizzare. When you state an opinion, you can't hold the judgment of the Beastie Boys on this tribute, that's just stupid. I enjoy both bands, and appreciate this tribute. But since you despise coldplay it's not much of an opinion if your just attacking them. Better yet to not say anything at all if you have no good to say.

If everyone went along with 'don't say anything if you haven't got anything good to say' there would be no criticism, people just accepting all kinds of rubbish. I agree that my criticism was not exactly constructive, but it was just an opinion, which I am entitled to, as 'stupid' as it may be. I could argue with the non-'stupid'ness of supporting a band who have somehow popularised whining dirge that all sounds the same and has spawned a whole genre of the horrible stuff.
