I'm sure you've mastered it by now, but I figured I'd comment to provide tips for first timers. I was just recently a first timer.
First, understand the the gyroscopic effect keeps you more stable the faster your wheels are going so, if possible, start with little resistance but a hard gear to increase stability.
Next, put one foot on the rail of the trainer, then pedal with one foot to get it up to speed, then go.
and Lastly, Look Forward! it's much easier than looking straight down.
just a question....what advantage does the spandex bicycle shorts and tight clothing do inside where there is no wind...as opposed to regular shorts and a t shirt? because it just seems way too tight for comfort in the supposed area....
@scottspook Great question, the shorts have padding in them to make your long rides less painful on your butt and the Jersey is made to draw sweat away from the skin and evaporates on the outer layer. :)
relax your white knuckle grip of death and accelerate when the bike starts to get out of control. Worst things you can do is slow down and grab harder.
When I was 11, I tried doing those, (on the kid ones) and I started freaking out every time my sister, (Calilover77) tried to take my hand off the treadmill. Once she took it off, I screamed and fell to the left (Ouch!) I tried it again and still kind of screamed, but when she took off my hand, I didn't fall! (Until I stopped pedalling,) I still get a little nervous on those, because I'm the type of person who are like, "What if the ride breaks down when I'm on it!?!" So uh yeah, nice video!

There was that squeaking sound throughout, was it the rollers ? Is it always like that ?
Thanks ! I guess you have just convinced me to buy one !

@GanzLONDON Rollers are a little noisy, but much more fun to train on.

What do you mean by circles? keeping your body still and moving the bike under it with your natural cadence?
ErrorUncertainty 7 months ago
@ErrorUncertainty your leg should push down, push forward, pull up, pull back then repeat. It's like making circles with your feet. :)

Good Job. Just remember works best when looking FORWARD as though you were really riding, rather than down. Helps you center your core better.

@Beamer4lyf Thanks for the comment. I ride much better now.

So, did you end up buying your own? And if so, did you master the "out of the saddle"?
fightnuttube 1 year ago
@fightnuttube Yes, I bought my own rollers and no I haven't mastered the out-of-seat yet. :)
