Wish I'd seen this video before I bought from Fastmac. I paid via Paypal, the receipt says the payment has been made to Allmac (allmac@aol.com; non-existent email, bounces back). Fastmac have not returned any of my emails, SMS or phone calls (from the UK). Called Allmac who directed me to Fastmac. I will call Allmac again today then raise a dispute with Paypal but, from reading all this, I doubt I'll get the product or a refund without a lengthy fight. Who is the CEO of Fastmac?
@noxdoubtgirl LOL you guys love to asume things about I didnt fully charge the battery thats why its acting like this, I didnt bothering calling them on the phone and so on. I did EVERYTHING!
from what i can tell from the video - the iv is NOT charged up. I had purchased mine 3 months ago and it was also discharged. When speaking with Fastmac and the description of the problem - i was advised that it needed a full charge before use.
So I would suggest - giving your IV a full charge PRIOR to posting this on youtube
@appledoctor2010 First of all I did charge it to 100% when i got it. Secondly I bet your working for FastMac so that people here in YouTube thinks that its my fualt for not charging it first. I know what I am doing.
@appledoctor2010 The device starts acting up when its down to the red light. That should not happen. I have tried so many different of external battery for the iPhone and none of them does this. I tried the Mophie Juice Pack and the Mophie Juice Pack Air and all of them are working perfectly fine.
from watching the video - from what i can tell - the IV is NOT charged up out of the box. It HAS to be charged up. I purchased one also about 3 months ago - and it had no charge. After calling Fastmac and describing the problem - I was told that it needed a charge - so I did and it works great.
I know the FastMac people very well. I have used over a dozen of these with no problems. Send me a message and I'll put you in touch with them. They have the best customer service I've ever seen and I honestly don't think you've gotten the right people.
OMG, didn't realize that u HAD already returned them !! This SHUD work (altho it's a hassle, it's almost always worked for me): Get the Fastmac Pres/CEO's name & address and send him/her a letter (NOT e-mail) with "receipt requested" (so they can't say never got it), detailing the problem with ur email documentation and the CS rep's name, as well as the BBB and AG threats. Tell the pres/CEO you expect ur refund within 30 days of letter's receipt, & if no action is taken, contact BBB & AG.
They do give the counterparty (Fastmac in this case) I think 30 days to respond, but if the party either doesn't respond to them or can't show how u violated their return policy, U WIN and VISA will "eat" the charge; no cost to U (and u get to keep the product for free, unless ur forced to return it @ that point). Also, threaten Fastmac that you'll be contacting the Better Business Bureau AND ur state Attorney General. Most firms don't want the fraudulent label, so SHUD refund @ that point.
I purchased it on Nov. 24, 2009 its been a while now. and also the customer service "Darlene Conner" gave me the RMA number to return it which i did. after a month after i emailed them again to ask how come i dont see any credits on my visa and guess what no respond. emailed them like 20 times. so they took 2 of my battery pack that i sent to them and my money
Sorry to hear of ur terrible experience with Fastmac, IBS. I was thinking of buying their T.P. iV Plus (based on Thetechquorum's vids), but am now having strong 2nd thoughts based on how they've treated you.
Couple of tips: With VISA, you can almost always put fraudulent /illegit charges "in dispute" with ur bank. This means they suspend the charge temporarily & the grace period /any interest payments. I have VISA thru Chase & they're GREAT with this...(cont'd)...
thanks for the tips bro, but i think its kinda too late for me to do that now, its been over 3 months now. but yah thats good that your thinking twice about buy anything from fastmac. thats the reason why i made this video so you guys dont have to experience what i went through.
Fastmac offers a 30-Day No-Questions-Asked money back guarantee. Okay, we do ask one question - why - so that we can better help our other customers. Some exceptions to this policy do apply, such as for opened software (for obvious reasons). Certain opened items are also subject to a restocking fee. Any items returned to us without a valid RMA number will not be accepted and will be returned to the sender at sender's expense.
THIS POLICY IS FULL OF BS! "Darlene Conner" the customer service lady is responsible for stealing my 2 iv battery i was told to return which now they kept and the money i paid for it!
I think you should've disabled your themes and stuff for this video... cause they can just say "we're not responsible for the way our product interacts with jailbroken devices" based on this video.
it should not matter, it says on their policy if you dont like our product you can return it with no question asked, which i did return it and guess what they stole 2 of my iv battery and my money. the customer service that robbed me was
"Darlene Conner". and plus i tried it on my non jailbroken iphone the same thing.
Yeah but I'm just saying that from this video people don't know all of that right. So it would've been better to disable winterboard for this video. Anyway I hope you end up getting your money back or something.
thanks bud! i dont think i will get my money back. its already been 3 months. Im just doing this video to spread the words and warn you guys "NOT TO BUY ANYTHING FROM FASTMAC" so this thing will not happen to you guys!
