NOTE: I am not saying that drums are easy or that Rock Band is anywhere close to being real drums, but it's not a bad place to start. Plus, if you try drums on Rock Band and you hate it then there is no way you are going to enjoy real drums so then you don't waste money on a real kit.

If you wanna learn to drum go get rock band AND go get a real drum kit. The Rock Band games are an easy and fun way for you to work on basic technique, like rolls, using your wrists, and learning to separate the movement of your hands from the movement of your feet, something that everyone has to deal with when first learning drums. Then go to the real drum kit and you'll be ahead of the game. You can jump straight into learning how to keep time and translating what you hear into what you do.

Smells Like Teen Spirit is very easy and very fun to play... and.. just build up from there...

taken me about 7 months from teen spirit to get to a7x... but i drum all the time.. not on my kit.. just anywhere.. tables at school and everythin like that.. try to see the rythm in everythin it helps
