i know way i can hear after rigging them dam things in nkp thailand boy hated working on them out on the trim pad max power runs standing behind the prop making adj.
Or, how about adjusting the CSU's in 126 deg heat of the Mojave (CAX). The scary part was slumping over the rear ejection seat and dripping sweat all over the circuit board panel at the same time and making sure the readings on the multimeter were good to go. BTW, the only sweat I experienced the whole time in the desert was under that canopy.
Also, its sad that this aircraft isn't thought of much nowadays in the Pilot community. Hell Im only 28 and would give a pinky finger to fly this for a few hours (after it healed of course lol).

I spent many flight hours in the OV-1 Mohawk while working for the US Army. They are also gone now.

Also, does anyone have video or can upload video of the Cargo compartment and underbelly of this wonderful aircraft?
Ive never seen what the cargo compartment looks like.

it had enough room to seat 5 guys (knees to chest) for para drop...think of a crawl space. It was also a great place to catch some zzz's lol

Worked on these in my airman days. One incentive flight made memories of a lifetime. It's definately high on my "if I won the lottery" list.

I can't think of a better plane to fly around in to 'ground gaze'.
