I am joining the Army ROTC over at a University in my State soon, I wanted to go into the Army not because of the lack of jobs, I might say that but mostly to get people off my back, but to make my grandfather up in heaven proud of me who was in the Army during the Korean War and my Grandfather who is at a VA Hospital and also served in Korea... Safe from what? It must be easy to approach complex situations with such limited linear thought. But then again, I never understood soldier worship. Is it some kind of back swing from the Vietnam troops who were protested for doing their job? Then again, all anyone ever responds with is "they are protecting our freedoms". I am joining the Army ROTC over at a University in my State soon, I wanted to go into the Army not because of the lack of jobs, I might say that but mostly to get people off my back, but to make my grandfather up in heaven proud of me who was in the Army during the Korean War and my Grandfather who is at a VA Hospital and also served in Korea... I'll fight for honor, family, and my country and nothing less and nothing more.

I have NO family except my grandparents really and I'm almost out of High School The way I see it the military is my only option because I really have no reason to live other then to do my duty and provide for those I couldn't before. I respect those who are risking their lives for us and I wish to soon be one of them. All I need is a reason to live, someone to fight for, something to do with my life.
