I can understand why Dragonite can stand up to both Chaizard and Dragonair at the same time. Charmander's finally form which is Charizard is at lvl 35 or so, Whereas dratini's finally form which is Dragonite is at lvl 55, so if it was a 1 on 1 match between Charizard and Dragonite, Charizard would get Pwned~!. As for me, i beat up, lance's team with my lvl 80 Charizard, so its pretty strong for me.

@Roflggbro I know a lot of people like Dragonite, but in my honest opinion, I've always thought it looked like a yellow Barney with tiny Charizard wings. It's why I've never evolved my Dragonair. I mean the design looks goofy compared to it's previous forms.

@koolio21able He was mad because Team Rocket took this sacred bowl in the middle of the garden home he lived in. They dropped it by accident, and it burned all of the flowers. This upsetted Dragonite, because the owner of the the field or something, died. He was very close to dragonite. And I think Team Rocket tricked Dragonite into thinking Ash, Misty, and Brock did it. My memorys hazy, but something like that.

@koolio21able and he I think he found out that he was tricked, so he went on an attack rage. He couldn't control it, an attack rage can't be controlled by the pokemon. So they were trying to stop it's attack rage by weakening it, before Dragonite did anymore destruction.

Charizard is the best starter and has a decent chance against Dragonite because he actually isn't a dragon type so dragonite's best moves like draco meteor wouldn't do a ton of damage, while Charizard could use dragon pulse and kill it in probably 2 hits[ 1 critical hit ]
