  • 1:05 Pretty suggestive eh? :P

  • I'm a Norwegian tourist who spent a night in Green River in July '09. The geyser was recommended to me by the local staff at the Motel 6, and I went out there to take some pics. The geysir didn't erupt while I was there, but I got me a mighty purdy sunset over the river.

  • If your going south of Wellington toward Green river Jr. You can turn off the highway somewhere on the left and see another Geyser that this video missed. Anyone got the GPS cords? These would make good virtual Geocaches.

  • When I said Left I meant "Right".

  • Woodside Geyser (aka Roadside Geyser) is on private land at Woodside, Utah.

  • private land? I guess we trespased without knowing. do you know more? Its been 20 years since I was there.

  • I've been to crystal geyser ever before they put that tall pipe on it. This passed weeked we saw it erupt for three hours!

  • I went to this place some years back. It errupts every few hours. It goes 50 to 100 feet in the air, maybe more.

It was a hot day when I was in the area, so I put my bottle of water in the geysers pool to keep it cool.... GOOD TIMES!!

  • Yup, co2 build-up underground in water-saturated limestone, erupting intermitantly like a hot gerser and since it takes a lot of co2 to power it, it only erupts occasionaly.

Incidently, crystal erupts from an old abandoned wildcat well-head. Must have originally drilled into very watery rock with a concentration of co2 down there!!

  • i duno bout tumbleweed in where it is located, but i know that crystal is th party hole and champagne is the bomb fro riding dirt bikes got bad ass jumps, btw, i live in green river :)

  • These look like they could be artesian wells.

  • Wow how do you get to these places?

  • I've been to Champagne and Crystal but where is Tumbleweed Geyser located?

  • This is not some stunt rigged up in someone's back yard. I put in on the Green River in 1997 and just missed an eruption. The ground around was still wet. I don't know all the science to it, but I believe the eruptions result from a build up of CO2 in the limestone. Thanks for posting. Most people are not adventurous enough to get to these spots but this might spark an interest.
