I have had the htc desire and iPhone 3GS

I think the htc desire phone is a lot better but only thing let's It down it's apps no updates or nothing just see a lot of soundboard apps on android Market the eBay app is still not updated it's been 1 year!!!!!!! Android Market needs to get it's act in order and get updates out fast not just in America and year later in Europe come on android!!!!

To all Apple fanboys:I wonder do you get the Iphone for the smooth scrolling effect or for the features the phone has? For me it seems that all you care about is the scrolling effect and the smoothnes of the Iphone. I am realy sorry to say this but Iphone is lacking many things that it's not worth buying.For the people who need to decide what to buy you must see what a phone knows to do and not it's speed which in the desire vs Iphone case it's small diference which will be solved in a update.

I have both phones. And the Desire wins almost at every point except at scrolling. The Iphone wins this one hands down. But on ALL the other things the Desire wins imo.

For me scrolling loks much smoother on iPhone, also Desire screen blinds on direct sunshine. No good games (such as NFS Shift etc) on Android.

@petersen012 I think you are absolutely right, but the iPhone will get better soon. There are many rumors about a new iPhone and I've seen the keynote about iPhone OS4 and it looks pretty amazing. I currently have an iPhone 3g for about a year now and it goes really slow sometimes. I'm gonna wait until June to see what the newest iPhone has to offer. It it doesn't amaze me, I think I'll go with the HTC Desire. What do you think?

@fspopshovit I also think that the iphone OS4 is really nice "update" for the iphone, and i think if i were you i would have waited to too see that the iphone 4g has to say, cause i think that, thats gonna be a hell of a nice piece of machinery. But in another perspective if your currently iphone goes totally crazy the HTC desire would be an obvious choice, so you dont have to downgrade yourself to a much worse phone, because they give the same good user experience. and works really nice both.

htc is clearly faster, iphone is just a bit more sensitive as concern the touch area, would recommend desire instead 3gs

@loizoug still the iPhone is perfection in detail. dont forget about the full capable iPod with 16gb. i hooked it up to my ECLER mixer and mixed with vinyl, the output is very nice from the iPhone. I seriously doubt the HTC is anywhere near the headphile audio performance of the iPod/phone. Another Thing is battery live. 2 thumbs up for the iPhone because of 600mhz vs 1000mhz (even AMOLED energy efficiency doesnt make up for that). then another point for the iPhone is haptics. GUI outdated tho.

@YourPunisherOfLife It is not just you. The iPhone provides a way smoother user-experience that any Android device.

Android is kind of cool because you get to have a lot of control over your phone, but overall, I have to admit that the iPhone is just a better phone. Everything is smoother, slicker on the iPhone.

I'm intending to sell both phones you see in this video in order to get back to the -evil- Apple platform and buy a next-gen iPhone.

@linuxfacile please learn to use the Desire before reviewing it! Desire and iPhone are two different phones, and they are used in two different ways. If you come from iPhone you may find iPhone better, but if you are a Desire user and then try the iPhone you will realize that the opposite is true.
