it makes 100% difference a 50 gal will make 50 gallons a 100 gal will make 100 gallons so that's 100% more than the 50. you can also upgrade your system if you want by buying he size up from the one you have next time he membrane needs changing
the reason its working slowly is that ideally you would want an input water pressure (from mains) of 60psi and up. i run mine at 85 or so, yours seems to be running at 50 or so.

a big difference besides the output, is the cost, usually though ro units are measured in gpm (gallons per minute)
