  • ah, that's the raddest set i've ever seen! i hope to find one of these in an old person's basement, or a flea market for $50 bucks some day lol. i love those 60's gretsch tom mounts and cymbal arm coming out of the bass.. they don't make 'em like they used to.

  • Those are old heads? You have a nice snare sound, what modern heads would sound similar?

  • @Jesses84 No those are remo ambassadors with

  • I'll take that off your hands for 300 and some subway coupons.

  • Lol That's awesome. Uhm Deal?

  • mimikakis? you must have greek origin.. welldone mate, and the kit looks and sounds great!

  • Greek, with out a doubt! I love this kit. I put this video up purely to show a person across the globe what they sound like. I wasn't trying to do a long solo or anything fancy just play around a bit so he could hear them. It 's kinda neat to think of all the people that have seen it, if anything because it's one hell of a cool kit:)

  • @fivestar473 set set.not kit.kit is a model......or that gay car from knight ryder....its set!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • _@whokeithmoon as in :- "hey baby come lick my set"

  • Thanks for posting. I bought a siimilar used Gretsch kit, same color and sizes, in 1975 for $250. I traded it in a few years later for a brand new Gretsch kit, a 5-piece with a 24-inch bass drum, that cost about $1,500. Of course, now the smaller 1960s kit would bring more money! I should have kept that baby.

  • i know it has the vintage heads on it and everything.. but you should put some nice ones on and see what kind of amazing sound youget

  • @yourdone900 All batter heads are remo ambassadors.

  • I love those old gretsch kits, where did you get that one and how much was it?

I want that exact one in green sparkle... : <

  • They are great sounding kits. This one's in amazing shape, actually both of the kits in the view are. The kit on the left is a 55 gretsch in black diamond pearl. Good luck finding one in green sparkle amigo. They come and go very fast! Thanks for the comment :)

  • i didnt know Andy Sandberg played drumsA :D

  • Oh jeez, that set is beautiful. 20 14 12?

  • Yes it is. Matching snare too. No cracks or spider veins with a really rich color.

  • man, that is my dream set up (drum size) my dream set would be 1964 ludwig black oyster pearls

  • dude you look like andy samburg

  • What size bass drum ? :D

  • 20x14 with the original heads on it too!

  • Nice playing and beautiful kit. I bought a kit just like it, same color and everything, for $200 in 1974. I traded it in for a bigger Gretsch set a few years later because I was in a loud rock band. I don't suppose you bought it in the Kansas City area.

  • Sounds gorgeous.

  • how do you get a good accent, and not damage a head at the same time?

  • How do you mean my friend?

  • like get a good loud accented hit but not damage the head?

  • Guess it is because I'm not banging the hell out of them I suppose? The drums are tuned up in an articulate range so the project nicely, no need to play them hard; not my style anyway. Maybe it's the rim shot you might be hearing?

  • dude, i don't hit very hard myself

i just want to make the heads last a long time

i don't even like set anyway

  • get 2-ply heads

  • It is called technique. You should go to a drumming teacher to learn more about technique and dynamics.

  • shut up

    he has good technique

  • That was not meant for the video poster, I accidentally made it a standalone comment, instead of directing it Groaler.

  • aaa i c.

  • that kit is fucking gorgeous.

  • I think they passed the test!

Very clean Satin Flame kit.....hard to find like that........

  • I love those old kits.
