ah, that's the raddest set i've ever seen! i hope to find one of these in an old person's basement, or a flea market for $50 bucks some day lol. i love those 60's gretsch tom mounts and cymbal arm coming out of the bass.. they don't make 'em like they used to.

Greek, with out a doubt! I love this kit. I put this video up purely to show a person across the globe what they sound like. I wasn't trying to do a long solo or anything fancy just play around a bit so he could hear them. It 's kinda neat to think of all the people that have seen it, if anything because it's one hell of a cool kit:)
Thanks for posting. I bought a siimilar used Gretsch kit, same color and sizes, in 1975 for $250. I traded it in a few years later for a brand new Gretsch kit, a 5-piece with a 24-inch bass drum, that cost about $1,500. Of course, now the smaller 1960s kit would bring more money! I should have kept that baby.
They are great sounding kits. This one's in amazing shape, actually both of the kits in the view are. The kit on the left is a 55 gretsch in black diamond pearl. Good luck finding one in green sparkle amigo. They come and go very fast! Thanks for the comment :)
Nice playing and beautiful kit. I bought a kit just like it, same color and everything, for $200 in 1974. I traded it in for a bigger Gretsch set a few years later because I was in a loud rock band. I don't suppose you bought it in the Kansas City area.
Guess it is because I'm not banging the hell out of them I suppose? The drums are tuned up in an articulate range so the project nicely, no need to play them hard; not my style anyway. Maybe it's the rim shot you might be hearing?
And that was andy samberg on the drums.

It is called technique. You should go to a drumming teacher to learn more about technique and dynamics.

That was not meant for the video poster, I accidentally made it a standalone comment, instead of directing it Groaler.
