This film had a certain atmosphere, the location of the house she ended up in is the complete opposite compared to the sterile beach house she was imprisoned in. Whenever I watch the scene where she escapes from him I always think about how I felt when I skipped school lol total freedom.

I love this movie and Julia Roberts, but I think it was this piece of music that really made me love it. Music to me is what really brings out the movies. That and the actor's wonderful acting, but the music is what brings out the emotions in the scenes beautifully. Love this piece of music. Thank you for posting it.

I saw this movie when i was about 12 years old, and this piece of music has stayed with me all through the years. I've hummed it to myself not even knowing what it was from, then tonite "Sleeping with the Enemy" came on the satellite, and i heard this piece and i just had to find out who had written it. Should have known it was Goldsmith. Really nice job.

This reminds me of John Barry's theme for 'Jagged Edge' in the mid-1980's with Glen Close and Jeff Bridges. What I mean is that the emotions expressed are similar although the music is obviously not a copy. Both are melancholic and suggest tragedy, menace and regret.
