This looks much more dangerous than it actually is. The cobras fangs were probably removed. If you notice some parts were cut out. These were most likely where the Cobra was striking at the child. The child was of course not in any danger because the Cobra has no fangs but by removing those scenes it looks like the kid is about to get bitten or that the Cobra is some how trained really well but if this were the case there probably wouldn't be missing scenes.

The snake has not been de-fanged, it's mouth has been sewn shut. Notice that the animal doesn't open it's mouth when striking but still flicks it's tongue. That's because string/wire has been run through the snake's nostrils and out the mouth - It doesn't harm the animal so-to-say but they use this "trick" in movies and what-not so that actors can be have venomous snakes "attacking" them without the threat of actually being bitten. They used this method on rattlesnakes in an X-Files episode.

This is a Spectacled Cobra (Naja naja), and it do not spit venom. This snakes' mouth has most likely been sewn shut, as is traditional among many "snake-charmers" (some actually pull the fangs out, and the hardcore ones leave the snakes' mouth intact).

the snake was definitely venomoided (venom sacs surgically removed) and by the looks of how many times it struck the kid, its fangs were probably plucked as well. All in all it is more cruel to the snake than anything else. Without its venom sacs and fangs it couldn't hurt a flea if it tried.
