Good videos from u. Question - By using all this non-destructive features in Adobe, what if everything goes corrupt and you need to reinstall the apps. How can you make backups so that you store all the information so that after a reinstall, you have everything back to normal?
Outstanding Video, never seen such a professional video ever in my last 13 years of browsing :). Great Job ... keep it up... gives very good insight on Lightroom 2
LR2 has a built-in raw plugin. According to the Adobe website, it says LR2 supports the canon 500d. If not you should try downloading the photoshop camera raw plugin (2.3 or later).
@swordfish171 Yes. Considering Revision3 is an internet TV Network, and most of the cast/team of Revision3 are ex-TechTV employees, they've had plenty of years of experience on global television. :P
RAW doesn't stand for anything it just means this is the photo you took in it's RAW state. If your camera is set to shoot jpeg it will first shoot in RAW then decide how the picture would best look and finally convert that image into a jpeg. If you use a program like lightroom you have much more control of editing the image in RAW. If the image is underexposed you might be able to rescue it, in a compressed jpeg image chances are you won't be able to save it.
someone plz explain to me about raw and jpeg, i understand raw is better but my camera saves me photos as jpeg, sooo...ya also why, in simple words, is a raw photo better?
Because Jpeg is a LOSSY image file type. Every time you save an image as a JPEG it condenses the pixels trying to make it a smaller file. YOU LOSE IMAGE QUALITY EVERY TIME. RAW does not do that.

One suggestion: The video tech is missing his/her cues...please cut to the screen when the trainer begins to demo...I see no reason to wait...?

I worked at studio on lightroom 1 and I cannot tell you how much hell the lack of local corrections made my life.
I think I would have lived 5 years longer had I been working on LR 2.
Great Video and Great Guest!

Very informative, nice intro.....
What are the specs on the tablet and pen?
That would be a nice addition to digital editing as opposed to the mouse.
