If you watch it, I think the cage saved Brett from the arm bar. He reacted fast but in my oppinion not fast enough and if the cage wall wasn't there to stop fedors leg getting around Bretts head, it would have ended a lot sooner.

After all this was fedors first time in the cage.

Fedor didn't sign with UFC because his manager runs everything for him. He wanted completely unrealistic terms for Fedor. Fedor does no negotiations whatsoever, he just fights when they set it up. He ain't "duckin" Lesnar or whatever you trying to say. His manager wanted something close to 50% ownership in UFC or something like that. Lesnar is good but I seriously doubt he could beat a fighter as smart and technical as Fedor or even Lyoto.
