  • this love abideth in both son's! we love their Royal Highness what joy to see Kate will's pippa Harry everyone happier yet? peace love joy &new hopes!

  • princess diana...!! we love you forever...!! love from India...!

  • So beautiful to this day. God bless Prince Wills and his bride, and Prince Harry. I am an American, but I love the English people and pray for the best for that troubled family. Shame on Charles for continueing some of his ancestors' bad behaviours...I remember where I was when Diana passed and cried along with England at her funeral...Thanks for posting.

  • If I'm perfectly honest it amazes me how many hypocritical people was ta Diana's funeral. 99.99% of them there was calling her a slag and other profanities because of her relationship with Dodi Fayed and her affair with Will Carling and James Hewitt, then when she dies they are crying saying what a wonderful she was.The people I really feel sorry for is Prince Charles's child, Prince William and James Hewitt's child, Prince Harry.

  • The night she died I sat up watching sky news and crying.

I am a really big bloke a bit stony hearted but losing Diana was like losing a sister.

Beautiful compassionate and giving when she left the world it got a bit colder and I felt older in the same sense.

God Bless Diana and may she rip knowing how much good she brought to so many.

Signed a bloke who misses her all these years later Mike

  • This song is just so beautiful. Just the fact that Elton was able to sing that without breaking down is amazing. Diana was a close friend of his. If you look around at the people every won is crying.

  • Clearly , I'm not British. I'll try to get over it using my own design. 79 !

I hear the children of England LOVE that.

  • Ho woucld we not? How could you be at yeat 17 of International Crisis and still be attmpting "domestic dispute" and not buy a fucking plane ticket? Because the voices in your head told you one thing, but a fax I sent said another?

  • It was unanymous amongst we British expats... even us patriots. Nobody noticed.

  • Das ist das beste Lied das ich bis jetzt gehört habe ich bin in dem Jahr geboren als sie starb!!

  • Elton is just a great artist. I could never have sung that without tears....Love him!!!

  • Nicely done. Thanks. I was a newsreader at the time and will never forget that day. According to my boss at the time, our news my announcing the terrible fact caused a lady to pass out in a supermarket. I still believe the tabloids killed her just when she was finding happiness in her life.

  • I remember watching this on TV. I watched most of it and then had to turn it off because I was crying my eyeballs out.

  • I can't help but cry when I watch something like this. But it's not the people crying or even this beautiful song that brings them, though it does encourage it. It's the thought of the young Princes of Wales that walked behind their mothers casket that day. They did not weep, there were enough tears by the side of the road from people. I pity them the most through all of this. Because the world may have lost an incredible woman, but those tow boys lost a mother.

  • I am like this song it is a legend

  • BUT PLS DONT FORGET BIEBER IS GAY !!!!

  • I can't believe it's been 15 years already. Im American and remember watching her wedding when i was a youngster. i didnt follow her or the Royals..Actually i dont care, but the fact people are still remembering her so many years later is a testament to what a good person she was.

  • DIANA WILL ALWAYS BE THE QUEEN OF HEARTS...FOREVER

  • Diana you are my rose, i live in Scotland and miss you, Charles will live to regret not having you by his side, Camilla leave now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I was the saddest of times for the people of England... indeed for the entire World.... RIP

  • R.I.P. We will nerver forget you <3

  • @BillyJim1970 I dont understand. Why are you laughing at ?

  • thumbs up if you're listening this in december 2011

  • @nellinchen the day the world stood still for an incredible woman

  • Dose not matter how you feel politically or England and our people, this is still a lovely tribute!

  • FUCK THE ROYLZ HER DETH WAS A HOAX also its my birthday

  • RIP Diana

You did not deserve to die the way you did. You were the light in the univers that the royality never had and yet they took your life. Leaving the rest of the world in darkness. How the world would have been different if you were allowed to live.

Go with God, and rest in peace.

    John

  • Ja, Prinzessin Diana war wirklich die Königin der Herzen. Nicht nur in England,

sondern auf der ganzen Welt. Sie war aber auch eine Außenseiterin.

Leute wie sie sterben keinen normalen Tod. Schade, daß sie von uns gehen

mußte. Ich werde sie nie vergessen.

  • I don't know which is more emotional.........Eltons moving vocals or the photos of English

  • R.I.P, Diana.

You were the best princess who had ever lived in the history of the Royal family.

    I will never forget you.

    <333

  • Fuck the royal family, but she ws a difference to the world, her humanity will never be forgotten,R.I.P the best thing to come out of the Royal Family,REPUBLIC!!!!!!!!!

  • es ist doch erstaunlich wie sehr ein einziger mensch die menschen so berühren kann, ihren ganzen schmerz ausdrücken kann. danke elton john

  • 31 dislikes are the paparazzi

  • lol Im a young girl with the most incredible smile

  • @RichardElden Er yeah hes terrible?

  • @RichardElden What else are you glad about? I find you highly interesting. Its a miracle you can use a computer. Come on, get it all out. Let the normal people of this world see how messed up and upset a human being can become if they're lonely, bitter and unloved. I looked at your channel and all you do is try to offend people on various sensitive issues. Dont girls like you richard? You still living at home? Just ask for help son and you would be surprised how it can all change.

  • @RichardElden Ah! This must be the new craze that is called "Trolling!" Where weak people can be rude and horrid to people that would usually beat them up if they said such awful things to them in person. We all know you are ill, and most of us feel sorry for you. I hope you resolve the problems that stop you from getting on in life. Good Luck

  • @RichardElden It is very sad to know that there are people like you that regardless of your personal thought about her, you lack to show respect for someone's memory and unfortunately cannot defend herself. I will not abase myself by arguing by you. i feels sorry for you.

  • @RichardElden Are you fucking stupid??? .. she was a few of the people that lived on this earth that cared about piece of shits like you! ..if you have nothing better to say other than show a lack of education, because you sound like dumbass, why dont you crawl back to that hole you came from and rot in ur own shit!

  • @RichardElden His 6 Grammy's, millions of dollars, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, Academy Award, Golden Globe, Tony Award, best selling single in Billboard history, 50 top 40 hits, and nine #1 hits so otherwise. It's sad that you are such a homophobe who's pissed that someone who may be different than you is a helluva lot more successful than you'll ever be.

  • The entire world grieved that day.

  • Tearjerker

  • You are so above the royal family they are nothing compared to you Diana you will live in our hearts forever, the Scots will always be on your side.

  • triest.

  • This brought me to tears. So sad. :(

  • may she always be blessed.....Aloha Diana.

  • I love england. So strong.

  • This is the day that the whole world was brought down to her knees. As a cleaner then at Safeway, Peckham, I did not know when the mop dropped from my hands. Diana let your spirit visit England at every Christmas. I know this task may be difficult because of other assignments as an angel but for the sake of love, do it for us.

  • Good-by Englands rose was for princes Diana from it's beginning, we just didn't know it. He never sang it for MM near as well as he did it here for Diana. even the words fit better.

I believe this is the best he ever sang any song.

  • Lady Di would have be 50 this year. I know. She was my age. Her fight for the land mines was picked up by Paul McCartney, and the tribute by Sir Elton John @ her funeral, will life in our hearts, worldwide, forever. As long as one of us remembers her, Lady Di will live on. Who among you will pick up her fight for the AIDS babies, getting rid of land mines? Who will carry on her fights?

  • 3.18 so sad x

  • Comment removed

  • Here we are .... MANY years after her death still talking about her & her grace & love & compassion.... Her Royal title was & still is LADY....... And thats EXACTLY what she was ..... A TRUE LADY.....

    R.I.P. LADY DIANA......

    You are TRUELY missed.

  • erm i can make you go crazy

  • R.I.P

  • Very touching tribute.

  • @TheLovatoFans Why are they so evil like that? I don't understand why they are trained to not show any emotions.. Are they not human? Did they kill her??

  • God I'm crying so hard right now...She was such an Angel!!!

  • I just recently learned that a very special friend (Russell T. Hartsaw, Founder & Chairman of Invisible Youth Network) was murdered on July 17. In a lot of ways, parts of this song makes me think of him...

  • so touching.. may u RIP ENGlands ROSE...WE love u.. :(

  • *bild--lied sorry

  • Er ist mein großes vorbild. Einfach nur ein tolles bild-333

  • :'(

  • Niemals vergessen :(

  • william and harry are like their mother

  • I love england. so respectful people, I spend my childhood over there and will keep amazing souvenirs :)

  • i have the whole of Diana's funeral via the BBC on video tape and I play it once in awhile because it was such a heartbreaking time and it takes me back to that sad year of 1997.

  • @hrhtamponcharles I get the impression that we're going to end up going around in circles. Me trying to encourage you to actually have an exchange of ideas and challenge my opinions and you just swearing and posting rubbish etc. I think i'll ignore your fatuous and obvious attention seeking posts. Goodbye.

  • @hrhtamponcharles 3 posts and still you've not challenged any opinions of mine. Again, all you can do is use the ad hominen argument of a child where you swear and name call and even try to use my tongue-in-cheek user name to get an angle (that really is clutching at straws). Yet again i'll point out that i never said i was intellectual i was merely pointing out your own self exhibited short comings. I get the feeling that you want attention which is why you engaged me in the first place.

  • @hrhtamponcharles Hahaha...you're funny. 'On every single Diana tribute video'? No, i'm not. 'Idiotic rantings'? Well you've written two posts and both have been you misquoting me and swearing. I don't think i'm superior, (probably just a case of you feeling inferior). I also never said i'm intellectual i just pointed out that profanity is the sign of a weak intellect. You're not very good at this are you? You've said more about yourself than i ever could. I think we'll leave it there.

  • @hrhtamponcharles.....How about you challenge yourself to write something thoughtful without the use of cliches and profanity eh? It's the sign of a weak mind and intellect.

  • Aauuh!! This is so sweet! I was in tears! R.I.P. Di...

  • I got up at a super early hour here in Memphis, Tn to see the funeral service. What an awesome, moving, inspiring service! Elton John's performance was off the charts! I know Diana was awestruck by the service.

  • She died same year i were born. Ugh

  • no doubt ever She was killed...

  • Wielkie Serce Takiej Pięknej Ukochanej Osoby Jaką Była jest i BĘDZIE w moim sercu Księżna Diana....

,, Jednak za DOBRE SERCE trzeba zapłacić TAKIM PIĘKNYM UCZCIWYM KOCHAJĄCYM SERCEM UKOCHANEJ OSOBY...

  • we miss the wings of your compassion....truer words have never been spoken

  • One of the best tributes on Youtube! God bless you for posting this.

  • This is beautiful, the video, the music. It was beautful. I love you Princess Di. You were truly an angel on earth <3

  • it is to my understanding that Princess Di set aside idle vanity and embraced dangerously sick people who before were publicly shunned via ignorance and bigotry, and made a point of it before the media. she took her children to mix/w poor and homeless, and used her fame to try and save some lives. She became the most celebrated beauty of her day, doubly because she TRIED hard and was hated for it anyway Her husband found little value in all that. She died miserably and a bit too conveniently ...

  • @TheSunIsBlack

Agreed!! She was executed, it's just too much of a "coincidence" to die the way she did. She knew she would die via car accident, even wrote a letter saying such to her Lawyer and a close friend. A lot of good it did at the inquest -- So much was left out on purpose. When someone says that they fear they are going to die in a car accident planned by their exhusband -- then why the hell didn't that inbred ass have to testify at the inquest? All a set up, all fake.

  • @ApricotsMariska the only thing else i can say here is perhaps English folk may benefit thru her children's painful yet hopefully maturing life experience. charles' isn't exactly the most mature example

  • @TheSunIsBlack Very true.

  • @TheSunIsBlack A COMPASSIONATE EXAMPLE. is charles on vacation again right now i wonder

  • @TheSunIsBlack that's because she was assassinated by her own family.Elizabeth would do anything to keep her from marrying an Arab and embarassing her family even more than she already had.

  • I can not believe how Elton could have kept it together without bursting into tears. I mean, he is singing at a very close friends funeral. I know I would have burst into tears at the first word in this song if I were the one singing it.

  • @DOESanyoneKNOWwhoIam The original version of this song makes me tear up thinking about that very fact....

  • Princess Diana is my idol..I love her so much...I cried so bad watching this...what an amazing woman

  • no wonder this is the best selling single of all time. it's just surprising how Elton keeps his composure throughout the the song. this is by a billion times the better version of the song. melody is beautiful. lyrics sang so beautifully. no better person could have sung it. the way Elton says each and every word, makes the song eve more emotional.

  • @CHill1045 Even though it's an awful song that makes no sense.

  • I cannot imagine how he held it together singing at her funeral.

  • it is good that she died young, we will always have a young face in mind when we say princess diana even after hundred years..

  • i'm 23, the year is 2011 and poeple still watch this and remember you Princess Diana,

your soul is timeless, we miss you.

  • Loved as much in death as she was in life.

God rest your sweet soul Pricess Diana.

  • you have to think highly of princess diana,, she's devoted mother of the future king of england

  • I would like to know something plz! why u people of england hate her that much and tend to write rude comments about her! what did she do to U??. wasn't she ur princess one day!!.she was a lovely person with kind heart and helped a lot of people and making a few mistakes doesn't make her an evil...none of us is perfect..charles cheated on her first so she started looking for real love somewhere else but what does matter here is that he's the one who started cheating..let her rest in peace

  • i never seen u ... but heard lot about u .. Princess Diana ... feels u r magical. and now am blessed, to witness Will's wedding from the same abbey where u rest in peace! Good to see Elton then as well. And it seems to me, you never fade in sun set, the candle never burn out from hearts !

  • Extremely powerful footage

  • Today would have been Princess Diana's 50th birthday. ♥ We miss you ♥

  • It's hard to believe that today Princess Diana would've been 50. Such a sad loss for the world. People can slag on her till the cows come home, but as far as I'm concerned she will ALWAYS be the People's Princess, and COW-milla the pit bull will be nothing but the queen of the homewrecking tramps! May Diana's memory be eternal.

  • Her STD ridden vage must be about to explode by now..we need a coffin cam, mind you I bet there are some sick bastards out there willing to give it one last hump, its what she woudl have wanted after all!

  • @malcstag You ought to be ashamed of yourself. Saying such disgusting trash! How would you like someone to say such sick things about YOU? Princess Diana did more in ONE DAY than you'll probably ever do in your miserable lifetime!!!

  • @choosing2lookeast Really, I knew he fucked loads but that many? damn! We shouldl honour her memory and have a gangbang in a mine field!

  • @malcstag I'm totally speechless now!! how dare u say that about a dead person!! how will u feel if someone said that about one of your dead relatives or even about u yourself when u r dead!! why u tend to make her look like a slut!! for ur info charles wasn't an angel and he cheated on her and never show her a true love and caring so she started looking for real love somewhere else!! wouldn't u do that if u were her place!!?

  • Wow...This is difficult not to cry to.

  • An truely terrible song in tribute to an extremely overated person.

  • @MrAnthropophagy You are a dirty son of a bitch.

  • @Zaerdin I am a person who has their own mind and opinions. I can also express myself without the need for profanity. Your reply says all i need to know about you.

  • @MrAnthropophagy And your first post says that you are heartless and post comments that only make people feel that you are devoid of emotion when they don't need to be posted at all.

  • @Zaerdin I have emotion. I just think it's an awful song. (I'm sure there are many songs you don't like). I am also of the opinion that she was not that special a person when put into the context of the nauseating hysteria that surrounded her death. An opinion that i'm allowed to hold.

  • @MrAnthropophagy Your right you are allowed to hold that opinion but a lot of people think highly of her. I'm sorry for my first post I spoke out of turn. I just hold a different opinion to yours and think highly of Princess Diana.

  • @Zaerdin I don't hate her. Like i said i just think she was an unremarkable woman who achieved less than people think especially when compared to someone like Princess Anne who is a real hard working charity worker but is far less photogenic than Diana was. I also think that she was rather materialistic, a gold digger (as her divorce settlement proves) and kept extremely bad company in Dodi Fayed. She also caused, i imagine, a lot of pain to the wives of the men she had affairs with.

  • @MrAnthropophagy well she had millions world wide watching her funeral and crying over it she must of done something that was important just saying

  • @gammin5...I'm sure there are many people who believe that she did a lot. Either that or media induced mass hysteria among a moist celebrity worshipping public?

  • @MrAnthropophagy she did do alot of charity work

  • @gammin5 All celebrities have their own charities. It's part of being a celebrity. I'll give her props that she did seem to care rather than it just being an accessory like it is to so many other famous people. Princess Anne has been for many years a good charity worker, a real 'bucket and spade' charity worker who is far less photogenic than Diana so doesn't get any publicity. Diana raised awareness of landmines and hugged some AIDS patients.

  • @MrAnthropophagy don't you think marrying Charles was another great charity she did?

  • @oacsparrow.....hahaha......yes.

  • @MrAnthropophagy Was that wind breaking? oh, never mind...just a terrible comment from someone who needs to get over themselves. Never mind.

  • @choosing2lookeast Are you one of those people who holds up Diana as some sort of goddess who is beyond all critique? Or is it that you're just such a fan of this wonderful song? It helps if you actually say why my comment was terrible rather than just using a disposable cliche.

  • I think people mourned Diana mainly because she'd been well and truly turned over by the Royal family. The sight of her two boys at the funeral was really what most people found upsetting. I'm not a supporter of the Royal family but was genuinely moved by people throwing flowers in front of the hearse, something never seen before in Britain. Put paid to Margaret Thatcher's notion about there being no such thing as Society.

  • actually the "like" button should be called "condolence" button.

  • Michael Jackson and Princess Diana<3 the king and queen of hearts.

Both cared about children, touched people's hearts and filled them with joy and happiness. Diana is going to be 50 years old...in 2 weeks, July 1 is her birthday...

and then...the most saddness of all...August 31,2011- will mark 15 years ago that day, since she died.

  • EXCUSE ME?...who are u calling a whore?....PRINCESS DIANA???!!!

are u fucking kidding me or what?...she was the unhappy one....all because of charles and that horse-faced bitch Camilla!!!...they both made Diana so unhappy...the poor woman wanted her husband to help her, but all he did was brush her off like she was a piece of shit, and SHE WASN'T

  • i can't believe my birthday was her death....

  • @tabotabojayar you are so lucky that really must of been a great day i just went pub and got smashed to celebrate the death of a paki cock sucker

  • @THENEWJM0NEY507 lolwut?

  • @tabotabojayar u are a lucky man it must of been an amazing day this whore died and it was your birthday im jealous bro proper jealous :'(

  • @THENEWJM0NEY507 ,.!.,

  • @tabotabojayar what is that meant to be?

  • @THENEWJM0NEY507 it's a middle finger above all the others pointing at you...it's a sign of thank you.. proper thank you.. :)

  • @tabotabojayar thats a weird hand u have and thanks for the gesture but save it for a nigger they are the ones who deserve to be abused verbally and sexually

  • @THENEWJM0NEY507 have you been abused???...cause with your attitude i think you've lived a sad life of torment and pain.....do you even have parents at all???...have you been to school??...do you have friends???...

  • Norma Jean and Lady Diana sing this song together in Heaven to each other. Thank you Sir Elton!

  • Norma Jean and Lady Diana they sing this song together in Heaven to each other with a little bit diferent words.

  • my mom is crying to this day becuz of her dieing..

  • RIP from your sister country America

  • Theres not many things i cry to, but this is one of the few i do.

    R.I.P

  • WE ALWAYS LOVE YOU DIANA

  • It's amazing the impact some people have on others

  • when elton did this song, i cried very hard. we have lost a wonderful woman. diana-

rest in peace. till we meet again. i feel very bad for not only the people of england but for all who loved diana as much as i did. i have the video of diana funeral and i watch it around the anniversary of her tragic passing.

  • when elton did this song, i cried very hard. we have lost a wonderful woman. diana-

rest in peace. till we meet again. i feel very bad for not only the people of england but for all who loved diana as much as i did

  • we will avenge ya

  • Charles was an idiot .He dumped a Princess for a trollop named Camilla

  • @MissMelanie2006

wahre worte! es ist schlimm, dass solche art von menschen in der überzahl auf der erde sind!

  • @MissMelanie2006 Actually Diana dropped Charles for a whole series of lovers - probably as many as a dozen. You are an idiot if you blame Charles for their marriage breaking up. Diana was a trollop - Elton John was very clever to re-use a song about a prostitute as a tribute to Diana!

  • My grandmother believes the Queen had her done in. I'm starting to believe it too. On a side note, I think that is actually Susan Boyle at 3:48.

  • @MrHavok563 Diana was assassinated and by Charles family she was an embarassment to them not to me though. They had her snuffed to keep her from marrying an Arab

  • I can't believe some people actually believe that Diana's death was just some accident. C'mon people wake up! She writes a letter saying "My husband is planning an accident in my car. Brake failure or serious head injury" and next thing she's dead, having died in a car crash! C'mon people don't be so naive. That's no coincidence. They killed her, and they got away with it. :( I'm glad Unlawfull killing was made.I hope it gets shown all over the world so everyone can see what actually happened

  • Magnificient work you did, thanks for sharing

  • Still makes me cry after all these years. England will never see another Diana. I'm glad "the boys" are doing all right. Looks like there will be another royal wedding soon. Diana has to be proud of her sons.

  • This video makes me cry. Its reminds me of my mother of how she died the same way like Princess Diana and very young, 18 years ago. This is a strong video. God bless everyone in this world.

  • I cannot listen to this glorious tribute to Diana, without tissues close by. My wife cannot listen to Sir Elton John without breaking into tears. Say what you will but there is at least ONE honorable man on this earth. Sir Elton vowed he would Never play this song again or ever record it at all. Amen and may God bless them both.

  • I can't imagine how proud Princess Diana would have been of William. They were/are truly angels on earth.

  • lovely couple...I am praying life long happiness everlasting for both of them...pity my beautiful princess. (Princess Di). AAAhhhh what a beauty inside and out....she was the only best thing that come across the england's royalty.

  • this video makes me cry... :(

  • I look it every day and i must cry ever day

  • @069458 i really understand you .but....you are a German....why.

  • Just the bastard left, perhaps a union between England and the glory of South Africa?

    super.

  • Diana would have been so very proud of her son....he is so much like his mother..

She would have approved of Catherine (kate)..

But seems in such a happy time for her son...the media have got to drag his mother up and Cannes are releasing a documentry of her and the accident...why cant they let her rest in peace..

You will always be a peoples princess and your son is following in your footsteps...

he may indeed put the Great back into Britain

  • @allycat360 Diana would have been very proud of her son....do you think so? Well, think again.

  • Can never watch this without bursting into tears.......Princess Diana....you truly were an angel on earth....

  • @gaaauliii. I agree. However, please don't be sad, because she IS proud of her son (or rather, sons!), & she was with William throughout his wedding day. My Mum died at age 24, but her presence has remained constant with me my entire life. Although this vid is sad, it's intended to honour Diana's memory & make you happy. We should be happy for the life she shared with us while here on earth. RIP Mummy darling, & the late POW. Both dearly loved & missed... xoxo

  • Happy Mothers Day, Mummy. May you rest in peace always. You too, Diana. I lost my Mum when I was a baby, so know what William & Harry go through. My Mum was with me in spirit the day I married, so, too, was Diana with William on his special day. I wear Mummy's wedding ring to keep her close to me, same as what William did. Our Mothers will always be with us, & a part of us forever, no doubt about that...
