Yeah im doing the updating thing and about a quater through it, keeps poping up every 1min saying: 'File Download Appear Error' then it will auto retry and the same msg will pop up another minute later it cant get past this file 'aipolicy.data'. How do i fix this problem Joey?

hmmm you may have to do a manual patch. on the perfect world website, i think they have a section for the just the updates, try downloading each patch individually. then when you have all of the updates downloaded, start PW and click Update. find the the files you downloaded and it should use those to update. good luck ^^

Yeah i downloaded the 2-6 patch, 6-12 patch and the 12-13 patch then i clicked update on the launcher and so far an error hasn't happend, but i havn't opened the patches i downloaded or anything so i doubt that would have fixed it. Meh ill see how i go.

you need a download manager, so that way you can see the file after its downloaded.

google flashget download manager.

then you need an unzip program

google WinRar download.

that should be all you need.

Hmm ok thanks man it was downloading the update btw my game version is number 2. Anyway are you talking about the update in the launcher? Where they are a blue and green meter just under it has the game number? If so mine got to the end and there was an error or something also i do have winrar. After it finishes updates do i have to download the patch version 13 or can i just play it straight away, cause my download limit is used up so it's even slower then normal :S

are you downloading the torrent? they go awfully slow sometimes but they do speed up later on. i went from .5KB/sec to 80KB/sec in a few minutes then it went down.

lol the file is almost always corrupt on this game. it took me 2 downloads to get an uncorrupted one. right now im on my friends computer and he is has downloaded it twice and working on the third. they REALLY need to work on securing their files better ugh....

ok anyone who has problems with corrupted downloads read this.

My friend and i have downloaded the game almost 10 times together, and i found a solution. Yes, i used flashget because if you dont use a manager, you risk the download timing out error. then it comes down to the client you choose. the one that i can almost GUARENTEE to work is the torrent clients, becuase torrent downloads are IMMUNE to coruption (they verify every file is perfect like the original). read my next comment.

Okay, after all the client crap, download WinRAR, (its the program that unzips the client to the full size). the client should self extract itself and after a few mins, u can open the patcher.
