Could you imagine on Oprah, "Now I would like all of you to look under your chairs, that's right, your all going home with a brand new Gen 4 Glock 22!"
Here is the truth that the gun control nuts dont want you to know. Violent crimes happen more to unarmed citizens then armed citizens. THAT IS A FACT. When did you read or hear about an armed women being raped? Dont recall? What about an UNarmed women being raped. Now you have a recall. Are you unarmed? Then you a victim of a violet crime waiting to happen. Remember this FACT. Us legally armed citizens are trying to save lives. Gun control nuts would rather see you dead then armed.
Does anyone know if this thing can cause the moving parts to become magnetic and fail to operate? I know that sounds far fetched, but Murphy's Law does apply when you least expect it. Other than that, it sounds like a decent idea.
First, I would test this _extensively_ with the weapon to ensure that the magnet doesn't cause the sear to break, muck with the safety, move the slide or snap the hammer.
Second, while in a vehicle, any jarring motion could dislodge the weapon. I would hate to be fishing around my feet for my pistol while the carload of thugs that just rearended me is unloading.
Have been using for about a year now. My brother in law turned me onto them. I had some of the reservations as you, the magnet couldnt be strong enough. He had one mounted under the steering column area in his truck and was in an accident that totaled his truck and his glock was still on the magnet. I use 2 to keep my 870 on the back of my headboard. They really are strong. I see no possible way a magnet could damage any of the pieces, not even on an elcheapo using primarily MIM parts.
I just use the gun case instead.

Cool magnets. I use a similar magnet system and it holds my handguns & machetes in certain areas in my house.

Looks very useful but potentially dangerous.
Magazines, maybe. Weapon, no way.
