  • Tony Greig?

  • Hey mate! Awesome videos, watched them yesterday and made mine today! Send me your email if you want some pics of the box! :) chuffed!

  • @ThePlankstar Hi, you can catch me on CLINTONT [AT] GMAIL [DOT] COM. Good to get some real examples, if you don't mind I will put them on the blog.

  • Hi Clint,I lived in Botswana for ten years up to 1983 and used to make lots of game biltong.Been back on visits many times later and always had to "smuggle" biltong home to Denmark.I made your box and already made four batches. My wife says it's better than the "real thing".Now i try to introduce it to the danes. Thanks for a super video

  • @TorstenNielsen1 That's awesome news, just what the site and the videos are for. Glad to hear you took the plunge and yes it is often surprising how well home made versions turn out. Maybe it's all the TLC that goes into it!

  • Clint my boet...great job!! But can I ask you? Do you find more often than not, people dont recognize your accent as being South African?

  • @goonerfromjhb Cheers, I assume the accent thing is possibly due to me having a softer accent? Or do I sound more like an Aussie or Kiwi? Maybe I have dealt with too many international people, its affecting my accent :-)

  • @clintonthomson1 Not at all, you sound 100% South African, just wondering if you were also experiencing people getting confused with the 'English' South African accent as opposed to our Afrikaans accent

  • @goonerfromjhb Yeah, mostly think I am Aussie.

  • hey @clintonthomson1, i noticed in this video u have quite a bit of ply wood there, did u make more than one box? as i remember u saying u make quite a bit for u and your friends....

  • @MsFrenchy1, the wood was for that box but there was some left over.

  • thanx alot Clint, live and learn hey? ha ha well i have hung my first batch up in my box with the light bulb today and air vents with covers from flies etc.....will get myself a new fan soon and ALSO a transformer this time lol look forward to testing it on my days off this week....keep up the good work!!

  • hey clint, u have done a great job with the website, may i just ask, i got myself a 12v 80mm fan for my box but am not sure how to connect it to my power line that my light runs from...is it the transformer you were on about? and if so,can u pls explain again how and where to get one? is B&Q ok? what am i looking for? and how do i connect the fan to the main line as i thought i just splice it to the main line BUT the light lit up yet the fan didn't start only a little smoke came from it...;-(

  • @MsFrenchy1 I tried replying earlier today but it doesnt seem to have worked. The transformer is the same ones used for low voltage lighting. I use a 12v LED transformer. One connection is the 220v and the other pushes out the 12v power. Problem is that smoke may be bad news for your fan though. Check video II for the close ups as it may help, otherwise I can post something more detailed.

  • thanks for your nice video !me from afghanistan
