musicians don't make money off CD sales anymore this has been for quite sometime now. Melvin as well as any other artist has to be creative and do other things besides music ie, concert ticket sale ,merchandising, tee-shirts whatever it takes, but i'm pretty sure he'd still make music even if he did not get paid for it even though he should, the game has changed for the worst because of this digital technology, we who are song writers and music makers have to become more creative in marketing

I'm a big Melvin Crispell fan and it makes me sad that so many people are puting up free full versions of his songs on youtube. He needs people to buy his stuff. He's an independent on an independent label and he can't make a buck cause everybody snatches his stuff up and downloads on youtube for free.
