@academysounds everything this guy says is nonsense. If we can produce our own food, we should use it and export the surplus. And i notice he talks of uk as densely populated. but in another video he talks of there not being an optimum population and the manner he speaks, his tone is rife with doubt.

Philippe, I would argue that your point is based on spreadhseet economics i.e. it does not take into account the impact of an agricultural decline on local communities, quality of food and the environmental repercussions of importing food from Latin America.
