  • Givin' out call signs on youtube

  • Actually, I think that's the Outback from near Potomac Mills. Hell, half the drill scenes were filmed in the school house.

  • I was on MSG duty from 98-01. I had a little laugh at this video. This is not a drill.... yet there's a clip of them stacked up and the point man comes out with a red dummy pistol... then they correct it and show them coming out of a door way with actual weapon... who edited this video...

  • Do embassy guards at least get a chance to explore the outside community, or are they locked down to the embassy 12-16 hours per day?

It looks like a boring job with too many people above your pay grade tasking you with menial details. As an outsider, the only perks I can see are travel opportunities and ability to avoid doing IED patrols, door to door fire fights, and convoy security detail in Kandahar Afganistan.

  • IN THE MARINES, WE LEARN NOT TO PISS IN OUR HANDS!! SEMPER FI!!

  • and how often do you see action in your whole entire time at the embassy? never

  • Anyone else notice the Canadian $20 Dollar Bill at 1:14? lol

  • @WESTJET101 I did. Funny thing is there are no Outback's in Canada. If they were coming out of The Keg that would be more believeable.

  • These are not MPs, Their MSGs

  • wait wheres the 3 hour long guard school? or signing out keys to fucking idiots and pushing a button to open the door? or all the njps that are given out? most importantly where is the bar!

  • I can't run anything close to that fast when I leave Outback Steakhouse....my friends and I call it the "Fosters Waddle" lol

  • Dude at the end needs to learn how to match his clothes!!

  • 1:14 Canadian $20 dollar bill

  • OoH RaH!

  • Hey Joining the Marines in 5 weeks looking to work my way into the position after getting in, anyone with this MOS please message me on here would love to talk and get as much information as possible.

  • fucking loading...................

  • wow way to make it look like an episode of scooby doo or some shit

  • or you can think you're enlisting as an MP and get corrections instead

  • That's a Canadian $20.00 bill that's thrown down at (1:13)

So these Marines must be stationed at an Embasy in Canada...

Hope there issued 'Artic' kit and warm jackets

  • @Thunderchicken14 Ottawa, Canada

  • the shields look gay

  • This is the biggest crock-of-shit video I have ever seen!

  • If you want the real deal....train with Israeli instructors.

  • @Khopits FUCK Israelis. These are US Marines. Embassy Marines. Heck I would venture to say that the kind of stuff they train to defend the emabassy against is CAUSED by asshole Israelis. Israelis are fucking full on scumbags. You can NEVER trust an Israeli.

  • @VoodooPolitico Either way....they are still pussies :) Doesn't matter how they make this video look, I know their operations quite well, it was my business to know...... and I'll still say - train with a qualified Israeli instructor such as Itay Gil or Nir Maman.

  • @Khopits SURE..right...anything you say Avi.

  • @VoodooPolitico

Funny...even though I train Israeli I am 100% USA - Kansas City! By the way, Avi sucks :)

  • @Khopits ooookay there zippy...whatever you say. Sure...Israeli...hmm-mmm yeppers..."your business to know"...oookay Walter Mitty.

  • @VoodooPolitico Walter Mitty....zippy,,,,,yeppers - get allot of sun on the back of your neck where are from? Great hat! See ya later partner!

  • @Khopits REALLY WALTER? Do you actually think thats a picture of me? You claim to be from KANSAS CITY, yet dont know who that picture is of? Ask your "Israeli trainers"...they might know.

  • @Khopits your an idiot m8...IDF allows women,trans-gendered & handicaps to serve in there infantry...

  • @chelsea4life11

truth hurts? I was former MP ( Army ) They train enough to get their ass handed to them....on top of that I have seen how these idiots act in host countries around the world....total retards.

  • @Khopits How so? I've trained with both U.S. Army,Marines & IDF...U.S. Marines support fields were far more knowledgeable in combat skills then there Army counterparts...IDF isn't what it's said to be , i don't know who brainwashed you into thinking they were great...Another question, how would you know 'how they act in host countries' if you were in the Army on a different outpost & so you were trained enough to get your ass handed to you also?

  • @Khopits crosstraining in Krav & MCMAP, there very similar...about 70% with MCMAP being geared towards use of military weapons......I liked MCMAP more b/c the krav demonstrations seemed to be staged

  • Gay

  • dont forget the 4 micromanaging inspections a year, 6 months of movement window when your not able to take leave, and of course my all time favorite having a curfew

  • @erptastic CVs and SAIs.....fuck those.

  • How long is the school?

  • @xstreetbreedx 6-7 weeks.

  • @xFaLcOnS2b22x hm. Not as long as I thought. It sure doesnt take long for them to weed people out though. for that amount of time.

  • @xstreetbreedx I saw people get dropped the first week.

  • @xFaLcOnS2b22x How intense is the training?

  • @xstreetbreedx to tell you the truth, its retarded as hell. I mean there are parts where its hard. but It easy to get through. Just don't be crazy and fucked up in the head and you'll be fine.

  • why at 1:14 are they using Canadian money LOL

  • @dunitlol because they are depicting being in a foreign country. and they probably filmed this in Canada since there is a detachment there.

  • @xFaLcOnS2b22x oh sounds about right then, thanks :)

  • do these guys fight in the infantry??

  • @MrThatunknowndude No, but they come from all over the Marine Corps, including the infantry. Those that stay in the Marine Corps after the program go back to working a normal occupation. For example, many Marines that came from infantry will likely go back to the infantry after the leave the Marine Security Guard program.

  • 01:13 - Marines might do a great job at defending America's interests, but they come to Canada to eat apparently :)

    (relax, I'm just crack'n jokes :)

  • kill kill kill i'm a marine

  • Just checking too see if anyone knows anything about the Contract Embassy Security Guards? And do they work side by side with the MSG's? Good training? Ect...

  • @GateGuard100 the whole contract embassy security guard thing are not for the embassy itself. They're civilian companies that get contracted by the department of state to guard new embassies that are in the process of being built. Once built, the Marines move in and takes guard. The Cleared American Guards (CAG) make bank when they do they're job..

  • @stlvi3tsoldi3r what are the contract security companies that have the Embassy Security ( Cleared American Guard ) contract? Thanks

  • why dont they show the mess NCO inventoring ketchup, and chef boyardee cans individually.

  • @nietorm or MWR/ mess audits... hahaha.. fucking collats..

  • @nietorm Don't forget having to explain to the Det Cmdr repeatedly why he cannot eat for free at the Marine House every day after PT and guard school. At most Dets, the MSGs have to give up all of their B.A.S. to pay for food, the cook, and the maids. Then, the freeloaders want to come and eat the Watch Standers out of house and home. Some of the really chinchy ones will even bring their families.

  • how do you become a marine embassy guard

  • Comment removed

  • okay lol why r u one

  • Comment removed

  • You first talk to the career planner. Then you submit a package for screening and if you pass screening you attend school. Then if you pass screening and testing you graduate and go to your first embassy or consulate

  • You request it, I think you can request embassy duty once u hit E-3. Or you can go Security Forces as your MOS and I know once I hit E-3 i will try my hardest to get that.

  • Comment removed

  • @whtboyco06

What are you you talking about? I never said it did, that was the guy under me.

  • put a package in through your carrear planner

  • Yeah, they want you to think if you enlist as an MP you'll be stationed in Hawaii or something. lmao.

  • @RayAir1 Being an MP and being an MSG are two very very very different things. MP's are wimps and cant wait for gay folks to be allowed into the military so they can all come out of the closet. MP's are worthless scum.

MSG are MEN (and a few women now I think?). MSG are REAL Marines. MP's WISH they could be REAL Marines instead of poser puke scum in a Marines uniform.

  • @VoodooPolitico You have no

clue what your talking about. I'm a MP in the Marine Corps. Everyone hates on us but you know what I tell them all time "You fuck yourself over when you do stupid things". I was just wondering are you a MSG?

  • @j282010v Negative. I was never MSG. Just knew a few guys that were when I was in. I know for a fact that things havent changed since I was in. MP's are still HUUUGE assholes. MP's dont have anything better to do than "fuck over" REAL Marines. MP's are fucking PUNKS. They are the lowest form of life in the Corps. The Band Of Brothers doesnt include MP's. I dont know how they can actually call themselves Marines. Cant spell WIMP with out an M and P.

  • @JM081779 or you do it RIGHT before you get out, get a bad ass hook up with some people on the DOS side of things, contribute to the attrition rate from the program by getting out and making 5 to 8 times as much money doing the same thing or something with less responsibility! this is a gateway job. trust me you will be bored as SH1T!!!!

  • I know the DetComdr. I was in his first det. Oh Canada....

  • Comment removed

  • To any prospective Marines out there looking to do this. Unless you are a SSgt, it will not not count as your B-Billet, also 3am curfew and a fuckton of rules. Talk to a prior MSG before doing it. Greatway to get a (online) degree since you do have more spare time. But oh my god it can be gay.

  • this program sucks. and you suck

  • This video is such a joked

I laughed all the way through.

  • yeah, you're an idiot. all trainig videos are a little corny, but WE perform a very necessary and critical task! That is the protection of American personnel and property abroad!

  • I did it you jerkoff.

I know the job - I'm not commenting on that, am I?

    THE VIDEO was a joke.

  • @2004MSG i dont know if i have ever been more motivated than i ever have been thanks to you and all your super duper intelligent comments! i commend you 2004MSG, for all you have done and all you will do, running from the fleet staying on this program for the rest of your enlistment!!!!!! HOOAH go army beat navy!

  • @fierysoul365 yes, this vid is a joke, and so is 2004MSG

  • Anyone know what happened to Freda Woods? She was in Det Seychelles i think

  • and is it a dangerous job?

  • if i got to bootcamp, then graduate from bootcamp, then got to my MOS school (any mos) like Diesel mechanic or something like that.. Then go and VOLUNTEER for this. is that how it would go if i wanted this. oh and is this a good job???

  • @JCPKSK8 dude.....

    dude, dude, dude......

i would say VOLUNTEER is the opposite of what this is called. if you want to read up on this program there is fascinating articles on this. look up the Holocaust, and if you HATE sleep, oh and dont mind a 7day work week with a possible nap in there somewhere, aaaaaaand you dont mind NOT driving for 3 years this is right up your alley! ive lived the last two years in an alcoholic haze so some of this may be a bit blurry for facts...

  • Comment removed

  • Pure B.S, if you enlist like you're going to get deployed in canada, no, you will end up in some shit hole like Iraq. Fuck all that!

  • @RayAir1 or you do the program and end up in shit hole (aka iraq) anyway!

  • Never good to put all of your eggs in one basket. My daughter became MSG after 2 years in the corp. Definitely career boosting. I may be worng but what I heard was that at least a third wash out before graduation.

  • Na bro Marines does it better

  • @Louie92801 learn to spoke rite 0121 ADMAN BABEEEEE!!!!

  • Sorry babe, it's the marines all the way! army is the occupying force, and marines clear the way 2 make it happen! 0651 Woot! Woot!

  • sorry sir!! Army all the way! hooah!!

  • @jlbjjlbj gooooooOOOOOOOOOO COMM! dur dur duuuuuur!

  • hahahahaah, don't hate because you have to be in the top 6% intelligence in all dod to be in this mos, lolz dur dur duuuuuuuur to u! =P

  • all DOD? this is Marine specific

  • see... if that was true, they woulda sent the army to guard all the american embassies

  • @11Bwifey what? lose bases so we....THE MARINE CORPS can come regain control to give it back to them? say hi to your air force boy toy on the side for me! hahahahahahaha LOL thats in capitol cuz im laughing really loud! FML!

  • @11Bwifey

The Army was originally placed in charge of embassy secority in the 1940's, but later lost the duty because the soldiers were not disciplined enough to handle the isolation or the stress. The Marines took over in the 1950's and have been performing the mission ever since. Due to the arduous duty stations, and extra long unaccompanied tours, no other branch of the service has had the guts to try to take it away from the USMC.

  • @dorodog You're half right. The army was never tasked with embassy defense. Before the formal program started in the late 40's,less than steller local guards and less than steller american expatriates were hired to guard embassies..Think broken down old drunks when 35 was considered over the hill. Most embassies were relatively open places back then and there wern't that many anyway since most of the the countries we know today were still colonies.

  • why are they paying with canadian money?

  • Because they are being portrayed as deployed MSG and this just happens to take place at the US Embassy in Canada. You can end up with cool assignments like Embassies in Norway or other fun to hang out countries or you can end up getting shitty countries or Nuclear Submarine protection (for when they come to port) assignments. Flip of the coin.

  • Don't make statements about facts that you don't know.Embassy Security Group is different than Security Force Bn.The latter guard nukes and provide temporary security at embassies with their FAST Companies.Except for a few NCO''s that re-upped,SecFor is made up of Infantry Marines(All male) that get specialized security training.ESG can come from any MOS in the Corps.

  • that is simply where this video was shot. How are you so sure it's canadian money and not euros? There are Outback Steakhouses all over the world, including Beijing, China where I was.

  • @pum84 they are in canadia.......duh

  • So howcome when they went to pay for their meal they paid in canadian currency??

  • because the video is depicting Marine Security Guards at dinner. MSG's guard American Embassies meaning they are overseas and abroad

  • MSG 90-92 Prague and Paris best time in the Corps met my wife in Paris. Right now visiting her parents again in France Get on if you can... When I was on the program it was pussy rain from the locals (not prague which was nonfrat at the time) and some of the dip corps all day every day. If you are in the fleet apply but dont tell anybody until you have to for you orders or else they'll try and buddyfuck you haha good luck and semper fi to all Marines

    Cpl Mayes USMC 88-92

  • Do you miss it?

  • yes, I miss it. Was some of the best times I've ever had!

  • @2004MSG you obviously never went to baghdad.

  • Comment removed

  • @russtteee you may but the herpes and HIV kinda bring it down a notch. good luck

  • what a waste of my tax dollars!

  • really? a waste of tax dollars? I hope you think all these new social overhaul policies of Obama's aren't a waste also. Because you'd be fooling yourself. Ever heard of pork barrel spending, earmarks, etc? I don't see you complaining about that.

  • what is?

  • @bigcountry0331 how the churches and the military all work for the government to pay for the degradation of the indians!

  • what are you talking about? What does this video or the marine corps in general have to do with the degradation of Indians?

  • seriously? Have you ever travelled abroad? actually, with a comment like that I'd be surprised if you've actually ever had a job or payed taxes. you're probably some snot nosed punk kid! Am I right? I'm sure the Americans I personally protected and rescued would not call it a waste!

  • @2004MSG hooah devil frog!

  • @luket411 YOU have no idea

  • This is definately NOT Superman's job.

North America was created so that the people inside of it can work work work to pay the debt that the leaders owe off.

No one is shooting and protecting for you to continue to live freely, but to continue to live in slavery.

  • @agreeableviews816 waaaaaaaade in the water children...

    waaaaaaade in the waaaater.......

  • you hardcore dont make sense. get back to work.

  • Is this a B Billet?

  • Yes it is. As long as your monitor is willing to let you go, ANY MOS can apply for MSG Duty. You MUST be a volunteer!!!

You must be unmarried (Watchstanders LCpl - Sgt) and agree to remain UNMARRIED for the duration of your 3 year tour.

  • yes it is

  • 3 years is a long time to be away from home

  • @E3Harrison CLIFFORD! shut up!

  • i have a question.

So when called onto duty you have to rush to the embassy when u are off duty? Won't the embassy be overtaken by the enemy by then? I know there are likely security at the embassy already though. The video just confuses me.

  • Again I will answer this to best of my ability probaly to be corrected again. Im pretty sure there is someone on guard at all times of the day. I dont know exactly why they have to go back though. Maybe to get ready and go help the guards. I am really not sure on that one.

  • There is always a Marine on guard at Post 1 and normally a second Marine on rover. The rest of the detachment comes to support the two Marines already on duty.

  • @JUSMC1 what about post 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7? oh ya, dont think you had a day off assho! tell you the truth, they just chill and comment on stupid crap on YouTube!

  • lol, man, there is always part of force on duty, non stop, u will be called as support, geez use logic

  • so the off duty troops will have to rush without gear or uniform through the enemy, into the embassy, grab their gear, and then finally reinforce the on duty troops?

  • @Gazet666 and spell check!

  • There are some security guards on-duty but even the ones that are off-duty are needed, just in case.

  • A slightly better explanation would be that the Embassy has a pretty good intelligence team. I did advanced response to many mob / riot situations while at dinner just like in the video. There are multiple tactics / tricks that are secret that are employed by the MSGs at embassies along with the Regional Security Office.

  • Can you have embassy duty right after Boot Camp?

  • No you cannot have embassy duty right after boot camp.First you have to be signed up for Security Forces. Then boot camp then you have to go to SOI(School of Infantry) and then complete the Security Forces Training. Then after that you will be deployed to your destination. I have answered your question to the best of my ability. If I am wrong someone please correct me and make sure you are right.

  • its a b-billet. u dont have to be a 0311 or security forces to do it. once your in the fleet you can put a package in and apply. if your monitor allows you to go you will go to MSG school then to your first post

  • I hope your right because they are going on your answer now. And thanks for correcting me. Although I dont know why you put a thumbs down. I said if I was wrong to correct me and I put what I thought was right from what little bit I know about it. Anyway you in the Marines.

  • Actually , that is not correct unless that is a more recent change. My daughter was MSG. She actually received her first Navy Achievement medal for MSG duty. You are always on duty.

  • There are places though were females are not able to stand post at.

  • @momfromtx as you may know, i like following up my last postings with another, explaining how ive messed up something in my last comment to you. i just want you to know its mainly because of the female marines that i work with out here that make my time pass by fixing mistakes because they are flirting with some dumbass from another country where steroids and inter-species erotica are legal. sory for my misspelling and i hope to talk to you in the future!

  • @momfromtx like OMG, seriously, you must love your daughter dont you?! oh and im my last posting, i missed a key word on that last sentence, i meant to say that she makes work harder for us. just wanted to clarify. and seeing you lOOOOOve posting idiotic posts about your TEXAN daughter, i want to you to know........

we have another name for texans in the militay....

    GAYS!

calm down, im just playing. its called a joke holy cow dont succeed!

  • Did anybody notice the Canadian $20.00 as these guys are leaving the Restaurant?

  • yea..i found that kinda odd

  • it is a video depicting Marines on Embassy duty so foriegn money would be correct to have in the video.

  • And that's odd because....???? I was stationed in Beijing where I payed with chinese money, I was in Nicaragua where I payed with Cordobas, and I was in Niger where I payed with CFA. Do you expect us to pay with American dollars in a foreign country? Ohhhh, wowowow that's so weird? Conspiracy? WOW!

  • they let you in didnt they. i'd say they have been taking girls since then.

  • When did they start letting the girls in? I served on MSG duty from 81-84 and girls werent allowed. Back then MSG was a real security force with a real mission...must be simply for ceremony and show now.

  • Take it easy turbo. Nothing has really changed except the technology and the names and faces. It is the same mission and the same eagle globe and anchor.

  • Two words:DACWITS and tailhook.DOD got strong armed into letting chicks serve on combat ships and fly combat aircraft so Pat Schoeder et el made sure they got Embassy Duty too.FYI the Corps did train a small number of chicks in the late 70's for MSG.None served a hardship or Iron curtain tour..I think they went to places like Canada,Bermuda,Japan and Finland.Thats funny because there was talk around 86 that only 03's would serve on MSG just like Sea and Barracks Duty Marines.

  • Really hmmm well my daughter did not get those . She had one where it has the highest per cap rate of murder in the year. She earned her tittle, it was not given to her. Neither was her honor grad from marine survial instructor school.

  • What...sooo she went to Brasilia or Rio de Janeiro Brazil or Kingston Jamaica???

  • El Salvador

  • @momfromtx im fairly certain that your daughter was one of those lovely young ladies that had many gentlemen callers from several of her lasts posts. we have quite a few of those all over the program. they LOVE to make it hard for the male marines on this program. i especially like how those wonderful Sierra's (our little code name for them) bring up their menstrual cycle to avoid any unwanted training EVERY week. i commend your daughters work at making harder for us! THANKS and FML!

  • @4threconmarine

Just to add a little to your comment here. I was on MSG duty during this time frame, and split-tales only went to the cushy posts, and the ones with large detachments. Obviously the attempt was to minimize the chance of a female getting into any kind of coup or evacuation scenario. From what I witnessed, nearly all of the "participants" either became pregnant or married State Department personnel as soon as their tour was over. Females came back in 1989. "Easy" posts only

  • where is the section of the video where you pass out keys and badges and transfer phone calls?

  • mwhuahahahaha or how about the ass hole tapping on the glass

  • no kidding right? Or right every freaking thing down in that log?

  • Possibly the worst video ever made, but one of the best kept secrets of the Corps. Some here speak truth. Really depends on your post, what the rules are in your country & what you make of it. I had a bit of danger, many duties, hours of post, reacts, etc., but more fun than anything. Friends and memories for life from all over the world. Good in: Good out. Garbage in: Garbage out. Stand out & when good things come along...they'll find you. No two tours will ever be the same. Semper Fi.

  • What's the difference between security guards and MP's? Is it the same MOS?

  • MP is a primary MOS,which means this will be your primary job for your entire time in the Corps unless you make a lateral move and get trained for a different job.Embassy Duty, called a "B billet" or special duty is a 2 to 3 yrs assignment outside of your regular duty.B billets can be Drill Instructors,Recruiters,Combat Instructors and NCO's assigned to a Security Force unit, which is different than Embassy Duty.

  • No it is not the same MOS. Like the comment below it is a special duty assignment and it is something extra you apply for once already in.

  • Hey dont forget the video of everyone buying clothes at S&K... because they were too lazy to walk to other stores.

  • I wish I could make a MSG Promo video... it would involve falling asleep in long drawn out classes about eating with the proper forks...

  • Guys and Gals, Diplomat Brats, Locals, FSO's, FSN's... we all love to party with the MSG's!

  • Where is the section of the video where they do collats?
