If i had some cash today and have to pick betwen the XF and the new Audi A6 sedan...Audis are commong but the engines specialy the diesel are more efficient, the XF looks fantastic, elegant but not to elegant so only 50+ dudes in their suits can buy them, way more stylish interior even if the Audi has top notch quality as always.

If i chould i whould buy both :) XJ as summer car and the Audi for winter since they have Quattro and we have alot of snow and ice atleast 3-4 months every winter.

What a hater. This car has won the WhatCar? "Car of The Year" recently and the order keep growing up since now. In US, Jag got 3000-4000 orders. The Autocar magz, AutoBild Magz, and other famous magz and reviewers said that this car is REALLY FUN TO DRIVE.

This car is great! I have driven the Lexus GS, BMW535, Merc E350, Acura RL, Infiniti M45, and Cadillac CTS. This car is faster, handles better, had a better sound system than any of these. It doesn't photograph well - looks like a Volvo in front and Camry in back; you need to see it in person and drive it; it's gorgeous. The interior is simple, functional and elegant. I traded in my 04XJ8 on a red supercharged XF, and I have absolutely no regrets!

The XF is anything but average. People who keep banging on about the car not being exactly the same as the concept know nothing about car manufacture. Legislation, cost and pure practicality mean many concepts can't be produced in reality. And don't get me started on the idiots comparing it to a Maserati that costs twice the price, or a Mondeo that's hardly more than a passing resemblance! Jaguar have done an astounding job to get this in production and deserve success for breaking the mould.

It's interesting how some people will tear something apart and most aren't even in the ballpark of owning such a thing. Also manufactures have to be carefull not to make a car too "out there" as to limit it's appeal to the mass market. I'm sure as time goes by given a positive demographical response, they may change and add features.

Ian Callum is one of the worlds best car designers credited for the Aston Martin DB9 and Vanquish etc... The Jaguar C-XF concept was astounding to look at. This is such a disappointment in comparison. The Aston Vanquish looked almost identical to it's concept version. This looks plain and cheap. It looks like a ford. The last true jag saloon was the 1990s XJ. The X type ruined the brand even if it was a good car. This car looks like another step in the wrong direction but I hope I'm wrong.
