I also find Fluoxetine the best ssri for me (i tried Sertraline, Venlafaxine - actually an snri, Citalopram, Escitalopram, Fluvoxamine, Paroxetine), now i,m on Fluoxetine and Mianserin and this combination works wery well for me. I suffer from OCD with anxiety, not depression.

hi my boyfriend is taking this and fluoxetine hes lost so much weight it makes me cry he get extremely scary anxiety attacks and hes stuburn and insists ontaking this medication maybe he should swith meds? because hes lost so much weight working 2 jobs and looks horrible im scared for him :(

I was depressed a few years ago when I was about 13 and was on prozac for about a year or two, during that time I went to see councellors often but I attempted suicide once and ended up in hospital. After my depression lifted I was diagnosed with cronic fatigue syndrome (fml eh?) which I've suffered from for the last couple of years but it's gotten alot better now. (18yo now) Today my gp gave me prozac again due to depression and im kinda dreading the next two weeks : /

please help. i ve been prescribed fluoxetine today for generalized anxiety disorder and moderate depression, but reading the side effects it can CAUSE ANXIETY??!! WTh?? if this gets any worse im really screwed!also if it treats depression how can it worsen its simptoms like anger and suicidal thoughts? im scared of it but need to start tomorow. IMPORTANT i work with children, small babies. is it safe to still be in sole charge of them? it petrifies me i can do smt dangerous or agressive!

@alinecalves Okay first of all, dont worry, they have to put these on the medicine, even if it doesnt mean it will happen. If you are having bad anxiety I suggest propranolol. You can take it with the fluoxetine perfectly safely.

Secondly, they change chemicals in your brain so it takes time to adjust. Durin this time you might feel worse (suicidal thoughts). This should life after time.

Last, its still safe to work with kids but tell someone that you are on the meds. Keep safe :)

I started taking these about a month ago. At first I had a few bad effects but nothing too severe. Now it seems okay. I'd never taken anti depressants before I wish I had tried them years ago.

prozac worked better for me.... no side effects..... i tried conexine, but make me tremble and extremely anxious

I tried a few anti depressents over the past year or 2. I found that this works decently while coupled with other medications. Though sometimes it worked and other times it made me feel worse.

am a dancer i like to dance all day long and it made me sleep like 24 7 i feel like given up on all this shit i cant cope without it but i cant cope with it stressin me out even more i just need 2 rant and i got no one to reant tooooo

Fluoxetine is the weakest SSRI. It is the most activating.

Sertraline and escitalopram lead in efficacy (also a measure of strength).

They are very similar and as the video maker says, it depends on individual biochemistry,
