After Bella gets bitten by James,what was happening to Bella?Because I heard someone say to Edward "she's hemorrhaging" & so what kept her from dying?

Why did Edward Bite Bella?

Is she now like half Vampire?

Edward bit Bella because when James bit her, he got the venom in her that transfers her into a vampire, now Edward bit the spot to clear it, (so the venom is'nt in her system to make her a vampire)but he could'nt rely stop imdeitly but you know he did a good job and stoped her from turning into a vampire lol. :) Hope I made it more clear :)
