@ysn370 Question, can you fit any other 3.5mm or 2.5mm jack in the headphones? (Whichever one it is) or does it have to be the one that is provided with it?
@AchristianCaustin No Dr-Dres are the worst of the worst. They are the most overpriced headphones out there. If you have a budget under a hundred dollars, I have 2 headphones to recommend and I own them both. The Sony MDR-V6 or the Shure SRH440. They are both studio headphones and sound great for the price. If you have a budget of around 150 and want something that's more stylish and has better base get the audio technica ATH-M50
@8lovelovelove9 Depends if you want accuracy, or a lot of bass and slightly less acuracy. The XB's are more comfterble, but they leak sound so other people hear your dubstep playing. WABLW WABLE
@8lovelovelove9 if you're on a budget get neither, get the sony mdr-v6, they are really similar to the srh440s and only cost 60 bucks. The MDR-XB500 have loud bass and excellent comfort but thats about it. The MDR-V6 (the MDR-7506 is the same) is super durable and sound as good as any pair of headphones under 150$ can get other than that. If you want to decide between HPs search for headphone shootout on google and on the first result you will find a chart at the end of the post with comparison
@ericgohsw The cable is long and coiled, but still might be a little short for DJ-ing far from your stacks, but Shure makes a DJ specific headphone I would check out. These should work fine though.
@BennyBenBen7 most audiophile know monster dre sounds awful for their price and a complete rip off. Go on head-fi.org. Best website to get advice on headphones and headphone amps. Shure 440 is one I am looking at and they seem best value for money.
@dannyho130 These are very comfortable for about 2 hours, then they will start to irritate the ears. I do not own the Bose In Ears but I have heard they are very comfortable as well. But I would say if you wanna take headphones with you every day i would go with In Ears
i have the Beats by Dre Solo. They are veryyy nice buy SOO OVERATED!!!!!!! if you are thinking of getting them then DONT. YES they ARE very nice and quality is also nice (suprisingly better then Studio's cuz i have tried studio's but Solo's are as comfortable) but the price is WAYYYYY too much . anways should i get these? i like a even treble but a distinguished bass. noice canceling when listening is also a neccessity thanks
@Angoro The quality I would say is better than the Grados in my opinion. Im a fan of closed-back headphones over the open-back ones such as the Grados because I feel like you are more immersed in the music when you have closed-back headphones such as these Shures. But overall sound quality is better I would say.
@hyperakt1v They are large but they arent too big. I would wear them somewhere where I am sitting down like a coffee shop or cafe, but I dont think I would wear them walking around. The cord is also quite bulky.
hey, i am thinking of getting these. I just started getting into music production. I would like to use them for both casual listening around the house as well as production. would you recommend them for these uses?? also, they seem pretty big, would you say you could also where them in the street?? not sure if you have heard of them, but what do you think about the ortophon o one headphones?? they seem to look cooler... thnx 4 the review!
@Mu5ik4Life If you're looking for some headphones with an entry level price point with high performance I'd highly recommend either these Shures or the Audio Technica ATH-M50. I personally prefer the M50, but you can't go wrong with either.
@Mu5ik4Life Yes these headphones are made for music production/home use. If you want a little better sound for production, check out Shure's nest step up headphone, the Shure SRH840. They have a better sound, but these are still great headphones. They are a little bulky, but I would wear them in a coffee shop or something, nit really walking around, mainly because the cord is pretty bulky. I havent heard of those ortophon headphones but I will look them up. Thanks for the comment!

@darkdog4440 actually, the headphones you get complimentary on flights beat the beats. The beats are awful, they have the worst sounding audio for a ``studio`` headphone
can u plug tthem into ur computer
