Reading one of your previous responses to a question, you said that you listen to Hans Zimmer. If you do, then you should also definitely listen to John Powell. Another great composer whose reputation matches Hans Zimmer and John Powell is James Horner, who you should also listen to. Another composer, Chris Bacon, is also very good, and although he's not my favorite, he's worth listening to. :)
one of my favorite piece from all your compositions. When I frustrated, I just listen to this music, then I completely relax. Thanks a lot for composing such peaceful and beautiful music.
Huh... I guess it's been a while since I stopped stalking your youtube channel. You seem to have gotten away from the Midi and back to your roots, good to see it. Keep up the good work.
Somebody has to keep the beacon of music lit in this time of literature stagnation.
I become loving this piece more and more after listen to it 4-5 times. It is a very interesting experience to feel love with a specific piece that was not so impressive when listened to it the first time.
I'm so glad you share your music with everybody, you are very good and I love watching you play. I had a special friend in my life that used to play for me and I loved to watch and now their gone and it's nice to see other very good players out there, thanks again!

@musicalbasics Yeah I listen to Kyle Landry and the like. I think Youtube is one of the best websites by far. So many talented people everywhere who never would have had a chance to share their talents if it wasn't for Youtube. :P
By the way, this is Josh, just on my other account.
I have always wondered about your YT Name, "Musicalbasics", ...Everything you produce is far beyond Basic...and Full of Musical Dynamics and Life!...:-)
@Mariekesone haha ty Marie :) I used the name musicalbasics because i always felt that piano music by itself (without vocals, a beat, or some kind of special FX), using basic musical principles such as harmony and the standard major/minor scales, could be worth listening to.
@Rdy2Killz hey Josh, I get my inspiration from two sources - people who listen to my music and tell me they like it, and from myself finding the music that i play enjoyable. i also listen to different composers on pandora, such as Hans Zimmer, John Williams, and Nobuo Uematsu :)
@Rdy2Killz but wow, I must say, there are some really, really fantastic pianists on youtube, one of them being Kyle Landry of course. do you like any of them?
Another beautiful piece of music. You truly don't need any words to pain a picture, your music does it all, and what a wonderful picture it is. I hope you are never seize to be inspired to write more and more.
I love the songs you write man. I remember i found Waltz of the Rising Star quite a while ago and was pretty much blown away. You never cease to amaze!
love it
good luck :)

Youtube needs to add a auto-replay button, because I broke every possible way to replay this. I love it so much.

Love it how you mix up genres too, from epic film score style to the hint of jazz at 5:59!

Question: Where do you get your inspiration from? Do you listen to other youtube pianists and get inspiration from them?
