Peter Green was the best by far of the British players in the 60's. Luther Allison, Oris Rush, Albert King, Earl Hooker, Eddie Taylor, Ronnie Earl, Carl Weathersby and a few others were/are the Real Deal.

Lonnie Johnson, Robert Nighthawk, T-Bone Walker, Johnny "Guitar Watson" and countless others that are unkown to white audiences that come from listening to rock have miised out on hearing THE best of the Blues done by the true masters. BB is great but I prefer his 50's and 60's recordings for his true greatness.

While this is a relatively simple song, the fact BB puts so much feeling and soul into it, that it is hard to replicate such playing. That is why BB King has King in his name, because he is the king of blues.

This is a relatively simple solo compared to most popular guitarists today, yet I've yet to hear a single guitarist match this much soul and style. With all their talent, people like Slash, Vai, those nerds from Dragonforce, and the other noodlers in powermetal can't hold a candle to this man . The only two guitarists I've heard who even come close are Hendrix and Clapton, and neither can compete with the King.
