yes we know you're a unique snowflake Destitulemaire, I'm 18 and listen to this and hardly mention it because I listen to it because I like it, not because I have to prove I'm better than everyone.
I'm 17 years old and i am listening thing like these...I'm So confused to see the tastes of my friends, i ask myself everyday, why they are so fucking insensible ? I think the TV and shit like that, just kill there souls slowly ><...And excuse me if i do not speak very well, i am not English ^^.
Peter Green was the best by far of the British players in the 60's. Luther Allison, Oris Rush, Albert King, Earl Hooker, Eddie Taylor, Ronnie Earl, Carl Weathersby and a few others were/are the Real Deal.
Lonnie Johnson, Robert Nighthawk, T-Bone Walker, Johnny "Guitar Watson" and countless others that are unkown to white audiences that come from listening to rock have miised out on hearing THE best of the Blues done by the true masters. BB is great but I prefer his 50's and 60's recordings for his true greatness.
Just play by ear .. study every note until you remember them all . or at least the rhythm of the song because then you'll be able to fill in missing notes
@unrealshrimp elvis=not blues. dead. michael jackson=not blues but pop. dead. bb king=blues. what the hell are you talking about? i said king of blues.
@unrealshrimp Do you not understand what RobotFollower was saying? Obviously he didn't mean that BB will literally never die, he was saying his music and the soul put into it will never die. I thought that would have been very, very obvious.
Both Elvis and Jackson are dead but their music still has lived through the ages.
While this is a relatively simple song, the fact BB puts so much feeling and soul into it, that it is hard to replicate such playing. That is why BB King has King in his name, because he is the king of blues.
This is a relatively simple solo compared to most popular guitarists today, yet I've yet to hear a single guitarist match this much soul and style. With all their talent, people like Slash, Vai, those nerds from Dragonforce, and the other noodlers in powermetal can't hold a candle to this man . The only two guitarists I've heard who even come close are Hendrix and Clapton, and neither can compete with the King.
@FUCKIHATECENSORSHIP I completely agree! True creativity isn't in how fast you can play, like DragonForce. That's a skill most people can learn! To do this requires a good ear, an apprecation of music and a certain flame that I guess some are just born with!
@FUCKIHATECENSORSHIP Can't believe you just said Slash doesn't have feeling in his guitar work. When I hear slash solo, especially in Appetite for Destruction, I can hear myself. The whole reason I'm even here is because Slash got me into the Blues.
@FUCKIHATECENSORSHIP there maybe someone who can get close, just type in the search bar blues u parku (blues in the park), creating of that tune took the guitarist who played it only 10 minutes.
