I am focusing on Punjab cuz a common belief among our indian friends is that all Punjabis are ethnically same as Indian Punjabis..no sir Pakistan's Punjab is a blend of cultures,,,other than the tribes i mentioned...there are baloch in south Punjab, Punjabi Pushtuns in North and Kashmiris all call themselved Punjabis this doesnt make them ethnicaly same as Indian Punjabis.. in fact the ruling Chief Minister of Pak's Punjab is a kashmiri..so plz don't try to hijack the identity of some nation

Then there are tribes of Punjab espeacially south Punjab Gakhars, Khattar, Awan, Mughal and Arain, Khagga, Bodla, Jhandir, Daudpota, Gardezi, Syed and Quraishi all claim central asian ancestory...obviously it would be stupidity to believe that during the empires which ruled the region for 800-1000 years...no settler from outside from any other part of empire came and settled and intermixed...Punjab was a rich land thus attracted a lot of People..and intermixed with locals
