Well done! May I ask, what is this picking pattern? How did you learn it? I love John Hurt but its hard to find anything explaining his picking pattern. Once again.... well done!!!
Thank you! I've never had guitar lessons so I don't really know terminology, but I believe the style he plays is called Piedmont blues. Wikipedia has a description and list of some other guitarists who play that style. I'm working on some of their songs right now and hope to post soon!
Another mighty fine track by the Master Bluesman Mississippi John Hurt, played beautifully by the lovely lady. Well done, and again, another one I have recorded and would appreciate your checking it out and of course, your commentry!! Just learning Shake That Thing at the moment, do you know it?
Nice gentle version of one of my favourite MJH tunes. If you wanted to get nearer to the MJH sound (which maybe you don't) you need to speed up a little and, most importantly, get that alternating bass pounding!
Tried posting this before, but didn't show up...I was pretty sure you were playing a DCME! I've been playing a few in the local stores and trying to decide on one. I love their sound. Have you had any problems with yours?
You and your dog you are cute, but .. why do not you sing a little, pleas

Cool. I like how your dog just pops his head in there like, "hey, what's going on over here. What're you doin'?"

Funny you should say that. One of the three they had on the wall had just cracked below the bridge. Thanks for the advice.

Bummer! Always sad to see a broken guitar. Let me know how yours works if you get it.

what kind of guitar is that?

It's a Martin DCME. It's on the Martin website, I'd give a link but youtube doesn't let you post links on here I guess. Good guitar!

No problems at all! Just be sure to use a humidifier in it for the first 6 months.
