I believe that microwave ovens cause stomach cancer. Middle-income people (those with the highest incidence) generally eat the most microwave-cooked food of all groups. Lower-income people usually don't own or use microwave ovens, and wealthy people generally eat more conventionally-cooked food. The fact that China has a high incidence is probably due to industrial contaminants.

microwave ovens do not cause stomach cancer. the reason backing a high prevalence of stomach cancer in eastern asia population is believed to be dietary, particularly food high in N-nitrosamines, as well as high H.pylori rates which are infectious agents classified as carcinogens class 1 by the WHO.

Gastric cancer is more common among the lower income mind you, due to the high prevalence of H.pylori among them, and their poor access to treatment for it.
