  • LIGHTIN' SLIM was SLIM HARPO's brother in law AND he also recorded for EXCELLO

  • SLIM HARPO recorded for EXCELLO RECORDS

  • That Rolling Stones one is a cover of a Slim Harpo, Slim Harpo was in blues, he was around at the same time as Bo Diddley, and both at Chess

  • Clash fans will no doubt be awestruck that this tape is from the February 15th, 1979 show at the Ontario Theater in N.W. Washington, DC. The only recording of this event is incomplete and Clash fans are happy to have a few more moments of the evening filled in.

  • Thanks for this...it's from Feb. '79.

  • WOW! I saw Bo Diddley at the Lyceum Ballroom,The Strand,London. back in the late 70's. BRILLIANT! still don't understand why they made us take our shoes off though! The commentators right.....if you ain't heard of him then ya must've been livin' on one of Jupiters' moons!! ha ha, thanks for posting!

  • Man, I don't know how to thank you for posting all this Bo Diddley stuff. I've always been a fan, saw him live 3 times, and once opened for him in London (I'm a musician). I remember when The Clash got him on tour with them in '78. You've done a great job, thank you so much

  • Even though not complete, I am glad I got to see this
