I'm so glad I found this. I saw Glitter on HBO and it was a delight. The music was wonderful...I laughed* danced *cried (mother/daughter issues) and felt hopeful at the end...what more can you ask for?
most critics been tryna bring mariah down since she first came out, and the movie was the only thing they could attack... Most people who think it's bad haven't even seen the movie. lol. The soundtrack has some of her best songs. The "lack" of success of it was due to 9/11. (i use lack loosely cuz she still sold 2 million copies of the Glitter soundtrack and loverboy was the most bought single of it's time of release)
I agree this is one of my favorite movies. There is nothing wrong with this movie it had its sad moments and funny moments and I to love the songs in it. I think people was just hating on Mariah.
I loved the "Glitter" soundtrack. Why it tanked I will never know? This was a highlight track, especially near the end (3:29) when Mariah sings, "It's just the wayayayayaya...!"
