  • you can't fake this shit.

  • One of the greatest songs ever recorded.

  • I listen To this on a summer night.

  • i thought jj cale was famous he is to me anyways

  • Why isn't he way more famous than anyone else?!

  • Probably the most understated song even written. After listening to it for 30 years I still get the magic every time. JJ Cale is one of the greatest song writers of our time.

  • this song made me try it on with my male mate, im male to

  • Love this song,

  • i hate all the clapton covers... jj was the real talent..to bad he has no stage presence though....

  • lovin' this fo sho.

  • LE Maître ... tout simplement

  • he is famous duuuhh

  • VERY Nice! :) Thanks for sharing!!

  • WOW! I just can not get enough of this! Long Live J. J. By God Cale!

  • jj cale wrote songs like cocaine, call me the breeze and, after midnight........he is famous

  • What do you mean' why isn't he famous' - ha - he's only one of the most respected guitarists on the planet you muppet!

  • What do you mean' why isn't he famous' - ha - he's only one of the most respected guitarists on the planet you muppet!

  • famous???? - he's one of the most respected guitarists of all time

  • Listen to the Hi-Hat...

  • I couldn't put it any better than that (-:

  • Reminds me of driving along the beach In Destin. Anywhere oceanside...nice breeze and cool sunset air....my god..

    Thanks!

  • my god...this takes me back. reminds me of my dad,

  • a favorite since I was 8 ...thank you sooooo much!

  • Had to crank up the volume on this one!

  • With his recognizable vocal phraseing, muffled guitar style and sparsely instrumentation JJ cale represents summary of the laid-back rock .Just floating meter above the Mexican desert. Enjoy,

  • We are ugly but we've got the music!!

    Thanks for this masterpiece!

  • Such a great song from J.J. Cale! I like his style with this crossover. would be nice to hearand see him on tour....but germany is so far away....J.J. please come to Germany with your tour!!!! WONDERFULL MUSIC!!!!

  • Damn! Why isn't he famous?

  • What means famous? Would it be enough that several 100,000 musicians admire him as one of the best?

  • he is famous...... he wrote the songs "cocaine", "call me the breeze" , "after midnight" to name a couple

  • @hansiwalker No. It would be better if he had fans running around buying all his albums. I've been acquainted with him since the 70's. He should have been famous DECADES ago. Most people haven't been with him since the beginning of his career---only musicians. Now, he's starting to get a little of what he deserves.

  • @hansiwalker between audience not so famous...

  • @hansiwalker Yes. That would be step in the right direction.

  • Cause he doesn't seem to do it for the money or fame but for the music itself.

It shines through, and we just got to love him for it... way to few musicians these days that would rather make a good album then the big payday

  • What do you mean' why isn't he famous' - ha - he's only one of the most respected guitarists on the planet you muppet!

  • @louiseduvee i know what you mean. i saw him play a bit with Phish in Berkely and he was super shy. played with his back to the audience. but he was amazing and i learned just how many songs he had written that became hits for other people. great artist.....

  • @commanderetardo Yeah, it looks like he's be more famous than Clapton by now...

  • @louiseduvee We all should be as infamous as J J Cale! I pity the fool who has never taken time for him!

  • @louiseduvee

He is famous. He is worshiped by many 'famous' musitians.

  • @louiseduvee

    He IS famous!

  • @rihojo007 I've been a fan since his first album, and I know damn well he's just now getting the respect and attention he deserves!

  • @louiseduvee Being famous is for the less-talented ;) btw if I were him I'd rather have a handful of real people as fans than a million dumb suckers with no taste whatsoever *ahem lady gaga cough*

  • @LawlFrank Good one!

  • @louiseduvee

He doesnt need to be.. As he says himself "Im a musician, not an actor"...

  • @louiseduvee Why dont all of my friends listen to this guy? I hear ya

    !!!!

  • @gnarlyTHRASHER Don't worry. Most all of your friends do listen to his music. :) Most folks know his music from others covers. Clapton, Santana to just name a few.. John Cale is a star to the stars that audiance's know.

  • @dsmsoccerdad Im talking about JJ Cale. Not that pussy yuppie eric clapton or santana. Cale is way beyond those radioheads

  • @louiseduvee Lise,famous?????? J:J: is over the famous strip.

  • @GENESIization ,,Louise i think there is a missunderstanding,,i mean to say J.J. Cale doesnt need fame,,he's got it all,he is great

  • @GENESIization ,,Louise i think there is a missunderstanding,,i mean to say J.J. Cale doesnt need fame,,he's got it all,he is great.

  • @GENESIization 'He's got it all?' Aw'c'mon! I've been following his bands since his first record came out., & I think I'd have to disagree with you.

  • @louiseduvee. Luise,,,,famous?????? J:J: is over the famous strip.

  • @GENESIization No he's not/ LOL

  • @louiseduvee he is famous ! ...in the ears of many ...or of those who appreciate true musical genious ..

  • @kiwimale1 It seems to me that everyone I know who's crazy about him is a musician or married to one...

  • @louiseduvee frustrated muscians perhaps ....with big ear dishes able to hear the sweet refinement ....and backyard ,front porch groove of JJ cale ...

  • @louiseduvee famous doesn't mean anything, If I were a musician I'd rather have 100 fans that know what real music is than a million that listen to it because it's 'in'. More fans isn't always better

  • @louiseduvee i agree with you. but maybe when he was famous he couldnt make this kind of music anymore. by the way he has respect from so many famous musician and if you listen to dire straits then you know where they have the inspiration from. jj cale is a big inspiration. ask clapton, he is a big admirer. they have made an album together ( but i know you know this) pardon my english. peace and out

  • what a great tune, from an outstanding , brilliant artist,...

  • magic
