Thanks for posting this it was a great watch. This is proof that the German Wehrmacht were not Nazi's at all and did indeed try to stop Hitlers insanity to save not only they're own country, but the lives of countless others from all nations, truely admirable. Who knows what would of happened had Stuffenberg succeeded, maybe the Iron Curtain could of been prevented.

I recommend watching Valkyrie. Its a great movie, that taught me that Germans wanted to get rid of Hitler. Which was new to me, I had always thought that all the Germans were on his side. But the man is a hero, it took a lot of guts to attempt an assassination on one of the most ruthless men to live.

Besides, first read some more, I read many books about Stauffenberg, he saw killing in Poland, he saw destruction and did NOTHING. And I hate that now- with all that propaganda from U.S etc.(they didn't know much about this war, really)-movie with Cruise and documentaries like that-everybody shouting : hero, hero, hero! I understand Germans so desperatly need to have ONE hero, but we can't just lie. don't be ignorant, just watched one documentary on youtube and that's it?!

That Stauffenberg's attempt did not succeed was ironically the best outcome. The war would have been shortened and lives saved. Germany needed to be crushed and crushed hard. National Socialism could not have allowed to be nurtured within a still functioning Germany. Only oblitaration would purge it. Hitler's survival guaranteed this road to total destruction and would not have allowed the German people to rise again possibly this time with nuclear weapons. The shame lives with Germany.
