When I saw how Isable was tracking towards the East Coast of the U.S. I really thought it would run up the coast like hurricanes tend to do, and I was expecting Isable to hit N.Y.C.
I was suprised that when it hit the U.S that it just kept going straight inland instead of running up the Eastern Seaboard, which is rare for a hurricane to do.
I live in maryland (despite my username, don't ask) and we got hammered. Trees were down and people were going across the road in canoes and stuff. it was freaky!

lol! When Hurricane Ike hit my house, I went right outside. Isabel and Ike were similar in strength and size at landfall. Just a little FYI. :)

I live in Northern Virginia and Isabel hit our area. But 3 hrs before it came, I left on a plane for Hawaii :D
