Tony Larson's voice is almost soothing!

@mobilene He's so mellow, it's like a newscast on sedatives. I was curious about Tony Larson's career -- from what I could find, he was primarily a radio news director, most notably at KTLN and the Intermountain Network, but he also had a stint at Denver's Channel 2 (then KTVR) in the early '60s.

Now if we could only find out the source of that weird theme music KOA was using!

First: this clip is from Feb. 25, 1978.

Second: how is this an "11:00 Weekend Report" when Denver is in the Mountain time zone? Shouldn't this have been on at 10:00?

@RolloSmokes I don't know as I've never been there- wondering if they aired Saturday Night Live on tape delay or not (main reason I never watched it on the West coast.)

@eyeh8nbc That 11:00 report thing is not usual. I've been in Denver for 18 years. Everything here on the broadcast networks has always been tape-delayed an hour (thus the famous "10 o'clock/9 Central and Mountain" type announcements). Maybe they ran extra news and pushed SNL even later on Saturdays back then.
