those mashing up´s in teens training are more then often, so I think that is just somekind of propaganda of course there happen´s a lot of injuries, but that is just a part of a training. evry athletic knows that and they will take the risk.

u know often ppl say gymnastics is the most dangerous sport, which i do agree coz i use to do it, but i must say skaters have to face a lethally hard ice for 3 to 5 mins at very high speeds. That alone gives mes the chills and so I have great respect for them, especially the ladies in pairs.

I suppose this goes to show you just how quickly things can go horribly wrong when you have two people doing precision manuevers on a hard, slippery surface. Except for that throw, these were all pretty mundane-looking elements.

Remember, too, that it's the woman who gets thrown, gets lifted high above the ice, or has her arms pinned behind her back.  You thought backwards in high heels was rough...

It's incredibly mis-represented as a sport, and the accidents that do happen are publicised, and those who do not know much about figure skating assume that they are the norm and happen often. There have been only five or six life-threatening skating accidents at the olympic level since 2000, and figure skating is only dangerous if you overstretch yourself and try and do something that you know you are not capable of.
