@KB4QAA It's sad how few have heard of Rollini. He was brilliant on percussion, woodwinds, and strings. Try to find some of his recordings on bass saxophone—he was one of the all-time greats on that unwieldy instrument.
Rollini was a miracle. Unfortunatly he he did not get the praise he deserved. Being such a talented, versatile and original jazzmusician he should be mentioned in more music history books.
A child prodigy who never failed to excell on whatever instrument he played. I am always amazed when I read of casual praise coming from some music critic about Rollini. I would say it is Rollini's case in particular that caused me many years ago to just ignore what music critics have to say. Music in general is imminently enjoyable without their input.
Rollini - one amazing, truly on-point musician. I'm still rather new to his work, but man alive, it seems like everything he touched was colored with incredible gift and presence - a true artist. Thanks for posting this.
@staunchcharacter - this is so fantastic!!! I just started a playlist for him and sent his Limehouse Blues out to my 240 friends. This ROCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!
Averaging 2 hours each, my playlists for 300 artists & each of the past 120 years are meant to be your most accessable & intrnational music library ever !
i really like this one - Adrian was a man who can do no wrong - this is commercial and cocktail music - and i still love it!! he always has a great sense of timing in all his music - and any instrument he plays - thanks for posting this
Hey, that's my teacher, Allen Hanlon, on guitar. Thanks for posting.

Adrian Rollini was so remarkable there doesn't seem to be good enough words to describe him.

In my humble opinion Adrian Rollini is one of the greatest musicians who's ever lived. His bass saxaphone playing is indescribably beautiful.

While I'm more a fan of his bass sax work, I enjoyed this video immensely.

What is the music the song is based on? Venuti quoted it 15 years earlier in the Onyx Club Review.
