Incidentally, why did The Count ignore Kermit's advice when he promised to take Kermit back down the the Seventh Floor and accidentally continued counting when he wasn't supposed to?

Maybe the reason "The Count" ignored Kermit is because, he got so excited with counting that he wasn't paying attention to anything. Mostly, whenever "The Count" starts counting, he will never choose to stop. Plus, once he slept over at Ernie and Bert's apartment with him sleeping in Bert's bed while Bert slept on the living room couch. So he slept in the room with Ernie and told Ernie that he can't sleep so Ernie told him to count sheep. Unfortunately, he stayed awake all night counting.

Kermit was pretty angry with The Count on this sketch because he didn't take him to the Seventh Floor he needed to go to. However, Kermit hopped up the stairs to meet The Count upstairs while he took the elevator to the Seventh Floor, and therefore The Count should've listened to Kermit at first.
