  • i still got mine no way id part with it

  • I had always wanted a fast traxx back in the 90s

  • My buddy and I were obsessed with Fast Traxx back in grade school. We'd sit and draw these things in class all day. I wanted one so bad that my uncle would take me to Kmart and Service Merchandise just to look at them. I asked for one for Xmas, my uncle said they were too expensive but as a kid you didn't understand the concept of money. Then one day, I came home from school and found a big box on my bed. The best Xmas gift I ever got from my uncle. I wish I still had it today.

  • My brother has a orange Fast Traxx and I have a red Bandit and back in the day those things were a blast, back then it seemed like they made good none hobby grade RC cars/trucks but now the ones you see in stores like wal-mart are junk, you have to spend big money and go to a hobby store to get a half decent RC car/truck now...

  • I had a red one I was thinking about, man was that thing fun to drive. It could pop wheelies and was the fasted RC car in my neighborhood.

  • Had the black and purple one. Drove it on the ice by the river at my Dads and it slid in and was gone for good. I bought a radio shack "Bedlam" thinking it would have the same control scheme but no... gonna have to find one of these on ebay.

  • MY FAST TRAX WOULD SMOKE STOCK BLACK FOOTS

  • Still got mine fast Traxx, it would be close to 20 years

  • They forgot to mention in the ad that the treads would always fall off the damn thing.

  • woooo that took me back!

  • These were some damn nice R/C toys.

I had one of the large red ones, it'd climb my garage door a few feet up by simply goosing it with the front of the tracks flat against the door.

But the tracks themselves were poorly made, and the rear-axle shaft plastic was cheap so after awhile of heavy impacts they'd give out.

Damn thing would dig itself down into 3' of snow and run on the grass under the snow....

  • I had the orange fasttraxx. That thing was the fast rc in my neiborhood I was so proud to have it. I used to race it all the time. Damn this makes me wish I could rewind time. Those was the good old days

  • @wildonejet29 remember the radioshack Golden airrow or white tiger and the Tyco R/c Bandit and the Hovercraft?...man those things were the shiznit.....imgaine if we had something like a traxxas Nitro 4teck 3.3 then...at 12 years old we would of been pulling 40 hour work weeks just to afford the fuel!

  • loll i had the yellow one and it was the big version .. it was freakin fast ... and also the turdo bandit was cool i rub of all the stud on the rear tire by spining it around in sand that one too was fast .. old memory hahaha

  • Twin stick controll. Awesome, except the suspension broke, in the back. I wish I had bought two or three.

  • I had an orange truck version of this when i was a kid. That was one of my fav toys... It had two motors and boy was it fast... killed batteries in 10-15 min so even w/ two battery packs you got 30 min of play time before charging both batteries for like 4 hours each!

  • There is one on eBay right now Item number: 330516091679

  • Super Fast Traxx on eBay right now Item number: 330516091679 I would put the link but I get an error message

  • I had the red fastraxx it even went through water i want to buy another one but I dont think they sell the fast traxxx. bu they should as its the best one out there

  • @3030indaface check out amazon or ebay

  • WOW makes me feel old now I had the pickup truck one when I was a kid I also had the tyco rc that could flip over and keep going that thing was tough.

  • IWANTIT!IWANTIT!IWANTIT!IWANTIT!IWANTIT!IWANTIT!IWANTIT!IWANTIT!IWANTIT!IWANTIT!IWANTIT!IWANTIT!IWANTIT!IWANTIT!IWANTIT!IWANTIT!IWANTIT!IWANTIT!

  • I had the Bandit as a kid...it was AWESOME!!! Always wanted the Fast Traxx though, never got it :(

  • I had a Fast Traxx. It was great for the 15 mins you got from the battery, but then a 4 wait to charge it back up :(

  • i broke mine from makeing them do all those jumps!

  • @sonofhendrix

    me too

  • "Nine-point-six-VEE-turbo"?!? 9.6 VOLTS, if you please...

  • Resell it! Resell it!

  • wow those fast traxx are SWEET i want one and go bruhshless with it but it would need a special speed control or a special system

  • Wish I was a kid again : (. Miss these days !

  • I just Put up a Turbo bandit on ebay!!

  • i miss the little rat dude that would come out at the end of every Tyco RC commercial and be like Tyco that's how you spell RC

  • I had the truck one, took the cover off and ran it on 12v motorcycle battery... hahaha

  • Wonder how many times they had to retry those stunts lol XD

  • i had both of them fast traxx n bandit now i move on now 2 bigger n better things wish i was a kid again.

  • i wanna see one mudding

  • YAAAA HOO!

  • Relive the memories the truck and the car fast traxx full size both on ebay right now for 6 more days go look tyco fast traxx

  • HOW ABOUT THE TYCO HAMMER... LMAO

  • wow the memories!! yall remember the mutader?

  • I had the turbo blaster in red....lots of wheelies

  • Man i wanted a Fast Traxx so bad when i was a kid, but my parents only got me a generic fast traxx, truck with tank tracks.

One of my buddies got a fast traxx and my truck was faster than his. :)

WOW, i still remember that bandit commercial, the "yaaaaaahoooo" brought back some memories.

  • the truck and car were same i think urs was prolly faster due to a better battery or better driving haha anyway there both on ebay check it out : D truck and car ^^

  • Question. So how come they don't make r/c vehicles to go super fast like they did then? Today, when you go to places like K-Mart or Wal-Mart and get the r/c vehicles for sale there, they are TURTLE SLOW compared to the Tyco Bandit! I had the Black Bandit Truck, that thing would FLY! LOL It was super fast, that much i do remember about it.

  • sadly like everything else made today including cars everything is made cheaply even trucks now a days have plastic bumpers not steal every is cheaply made anymore i saw the bandit rc truck on ebay 2 days ago might still be there thinking bout it was a harley davidson bandit also the truck nikko

  • i had the red car, i havent seen that commercail in over 10 years!!! great memorys of the early 1990's!!

  • Just bought one off eBay. Can't wait to play with it again.

  • i still have mine :D (neon green) i just need to find battery and antenna for teh remote and im ready to rock and roll!

  • lol stick your finger in the track and hit the gas! It fuckin hurts when it goes around the wheel P

  • I had that neon green/yellow one too. I absolutely adored that car.

  • i had the black truck lol

  • how fast are these...as fast as a jato??

  • If your talking about the jato from traxxas, that thing will eat these like there candy.

  • lol so y do they make these tycos sound sooo fast..... i read once they said it goes 250mph scale speed...

  • Correct, they do go 250MPH 'SCALE SPEED" So what you would have to do is take the scale of the RC and devide it or somthing like that to the 250mph and it will turn out to be the correct speed, they say 250mph SCALE SPEED to catch peoples attention. It's like me saying for the jato if your buying it from me i say "This jato CAN go 100Mph" But it doesn't unless you do hop-ups..it's so it catches your attention.

  • Yeh but you dont have to keep fixing fast traxx lol

  • we had a florescent green one..

but we broke it running it in some water after a storm :(

  • HA! I did exactly the same, I'd already removed the decals and sanded it matt green, for reasons best explained by a 12 year old...

  • All I had was the cheap radio shack version of the fast traxx. YAAAA-HOOO!!

  • haha man i had both the fast trax and the bandit .....im still in to rc 16yrs later cuz of them :)

  • still have mine. i have a highend evader st now but i still drive the fast trax every now and again.

  • Don't ask me how but i still managed to keep my Fast Traxx 15+ years... sucker still work's. They don't make stuff like they use to now a day's.

  • when was it made.

  • Early 90's. Best toy I ever had... twice.

  • precisely my point

  • I had the tyco hi jacker

  • i had a fast traxx as a kid, the damn thing lasted forever. and trust me i beat the crap out of it.

  • YAAAAAAAAAAAA HO

  • I had a yellow fast traxx pick-up and that thing was incredible!! One of the best toy i had..

Also ad the one that shoot rocket dont remember the name...

  • i remember wanting this so bad and getting it for Christmas. My neighbor got one too. man we were two happy little boys.

  • I had the Turbo Bandit... two actually. I would alway manage to brake the plastic suspension brace. That part of the frame of the frame should've been made of aluminum.

  • I just had a childhood flashback.

  • My brother got a Fast Traxx car for Christmas the year they came out- I kicked myself for not getting one myself- that thing was amazing!

  • I wanted one really bad, just too poor.

  • if you could only find the tyco turbo blaster!!! i have one, but stripped the gears as a kid. lotsa good memories!! keep up the good work

  • my stampede vxl is faster lol

  • and my revo and savage xl are better :P

  • I had one, it was the full size one but with the truck body, not that tiny truck they show, it was fun putting fireworks on it with home made lego box's to hold them in at forth of july, man do i miss it. it was the best rc car i had when i was a kid.

  • I had the green one when i was six. And i seemed to get a new car every year for christmas cause they kept breaking so when i was 13 i got a hobby class car and haven't looked back. Though i would love to find a Fast Traxx that is new un-used!

  • I used to have a red one of these, and it was honestly the best R/C car I ever had. The battery charge duration was a problem, and the fact that the tracks would stretch out of fit quickly, but it still was very impressive. I used to burry it in the snow and it would travel on the grass beneath a 2' snow drift with no noticeable slowdown. All the 6v versions are trash, and the 9.6v needed better supports on the rear axle/gear casing.

  • fast traxx, bandit, hi jacker. those were the days when tyco were making real r/c cars.

I remember buggin' the hell out of my mom to get me the fast traxx for christmas but got the hi jacker and it was so f****** fast when fully charged. that brings back memories. thx

  • The second commercial, for redneck kids.

  • i still have a lambo tyco it is super fast for tyco

  • you probably got the hi jacker

  • what is that

  • The fast traxx in its day was seriously competant and would have given a more expensive rival a scare coming up behind it on any track. I had most of the 9.6 v tycos as a kid and know they are quick. The tycos did damage easy and parts were not sold seperate for them, in other words if they broke you had to buy a complete new car. Or micky mouse a job on it yourself like what I did!

  • Why don't r/c vehicles now days go that fast? Like the ones you see all of the time at wal-mart, target, etc..? Were r/c vehicles back in the 80's geared higher than today's r/c vehicles? I have the new 1/10 Scale Dukes of Hazzard car, and it is semi-fast. As in, not too fast, not too slow either. It sure as heck isn't as fast as that Bandit truck in that commercial! I had the Bandit growing up, i surely do miss that thing.

  • Tyco rc cars of today are considerably slower and the reason is safety! The 9.6v turbo bandit, fast traxx etc would have given you a nasty bruise if they hit you full speed bare foot or in the leg. As a toy it was considered too fast so Tyco in the mid 90's decided to focus on their slower 6V jet turbo range and charged twice the price! They compensated for the slowness of the 6v jet turbo range of cars by adding gimmicks to their cars,,fancy crappy extras. Pitty!

  • This brings back fond memories. I had the red one, always wanted to do a flip like in the ad never could!

  • Fantastic!!! Thanks so much for posting!!!

  • Thank you for the Traxx commercial!!
