I remember a pair of F15Es starting up across the street from my window at RAF Leuchars in 2000 at about 8 on a Saturday morning. I had a massive hangover from a squadron dinner the night before and the noise almost made my entire body hit the roof horizontally. Incredible aircraft.
@Skidern...research the job before going after it. Alot of times it looks great from the outside looking in, but once you're in its ALOT different. I fly Apache gunships and believe you me, there's ALOT of not-so-cool things about the job that outsiders dont see.
@mihailofsx Unless you're accelerating particularly hard in the vertical then you won't experience too much...the transition to that climb from level flight however is another matter....!
I'm heading over to the hanger today for class to work on hydraulic systems on the F-15C. This plane is so sexy. Love everything about this plane even though I'm going to be working on A-10s =]]
Did you know that all the onboard footage from this move looking back at the pilot is all done in the back seat with somebody else flying? The HD camera was too large for it to be mounted on the glareshield
One of the only reasons i want to join the USAF, to see the world from above and its beauty. And to protect those on the ground.

Ok, lets say you take off, pick up some speed and you pitch up 90 deg (full afterburn). How much Gs do you normally get in a steady 90 deg climb?

@rickbar123 If you "shove the stick forward" you'll die faster than it'll take to smell your own fart. Come now, use some common sense.
