It's hard to learn, it's my mother language, but it was more easy for many of us to learn English on school then Dutch, correctly. It has much discrepancy between the spelling and pronunciation plus millions of sayings etc etc.

@vkoo32 We're mostly just mixed everywhere :D I guess Frisians are known for being blonde & blue-eyed a little bit, but it's not like there are no dark-haired people in that province :D I'm from Zwolle (north/east), am 1.65m and have grey/blueish eyes, I think. I'm never really sure.

Yes Lidewjj, in German there is a specific verb that means "to be called", it's heissen, very similar to the dutch one.

Dutch reminds me of a version of English-German that got lost over time thanks to the weed :) I think Dutch is easier if you speak German and English, but the pronunciation is harder :)

@Cannibalzz Hey. That is not a word in standard (Netherlands) Dutch. It might be a the word "kan" and the diminutive "eke" (which is used in some dialects), though.. in that case it'd mean something like: small jug/pitcher.
